Question for the fellas - women's ads

I was going to post this in the "single guys and swinging" topic but I decided it was a diversion from that conversation. It stems from something Heather said, and something someone was chatting to me about in email...
How many women's ads have made you feel like you knew the woman? I don't mean the pictures, I mean the text - how many gave you an inkling what the woman was like, and left you wanting to learn more?
I think for me, the answer is about "three". I can remember one in particular (on AdultFriendFinder) - she included a smattering of details of her life, her hobbies, and her "voice" came through her advert so strong you couldn't help but be drawn to her, to want to know more about this wonderful person. She came across as witty, feisty - a little driven and a lot opinionated. I swear I stared at that advert for three, maybe six months trying to work out the best things to write to her, before I finally plucked up courage and put fingertips to keyboard. (She didn't reply, of course.)
It seems like most women's ads are in the style of "hey, my pussys wet come fuck me then let me suck you off I wanna swallow your cum" or "need 9 inches for my ass hubby will be present" (a feminine version of a stereotypical man's advert, basically). I don't want to criticise because I'm sure this works well for these ladies and they attract the type of attention they want. But personally I find this very disappointing; it doesn't lead me to want to know these people any better, or leave any lasting impression on me beyond a growing sense that I'm in the wrong place.
You're very right Roger. To be honest, some of the women's ads make me cringe, but they get lots of replies regardless thus don't have to learn how to be polite like the guys do. Way of the swinging world I'm afraid.... sad but true.
Roger;
Absolutely correct. Must be something to do with the fact that some ladies think that all men think with their cocks.. And probably judging by the number of responses they get that idea is re- enforced.
Luckily my cock is very intelligent. He can read, write, do the shopping, drive a car and make dinner. lol
I've got to get out more confused
Paul
Blimey Paul thats a clever cock
I dont know how anyone else feels but I really dont think the photo ads just showing a close up of the ladies private parts are atall erotic
maybee im just strange confused:
I suspect the truth behind many of the womens' ads is that they're written by hubby / partner. I've never met a lady with even one iota of self-esteem that would write about herself in that way.
And I would never respond to one written that way either.
I absolutely agree with you Roger.....I saw an ad recently from a single lady, in it was contained the superb prose "I just wanna ave fun!" and that was just about it.
Now call me weak, stupid even. But I chatted to her on MSN (which was my only response) she told me that she had 150 responses by email. Our relationship was cut short by her inability to get past one syllable, and the classification of yours truly as a snob when I divulged my occupation confused
So yes I guess you're right, these ad's get the response they are after, and the ladies most definitely do hold all the aces.
Warwick ........I agree...... the most powerfully erotic gift we have is the imagination, closeups of genitalia male or female sabotage that entirely..... yuk :censored:
Great disclaimer !! rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I swear I saw one earlier this week that said "I'm online now" - just that one sentence was the entire ad. I wonder how many hundreds of responses she got?
With you on the genital piccies, Warwick; I absolutely hate the things too. Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels that way!
I don't have an advert but if I did I would want to entice people like yourselves to respond as you seem to have so much more to offer than just handy attachments to take on picnics biggrin
Jemlet that is so kind
youre making us lads blush redface

Gee Thx Jemlet........ redface
When you do advertise.........can you let me know the day before? biggrin Theres nothing like insider dealing........or starting in pole position... lol or is it poll? Well it would have to come with me on a picnic either way....... wink
Hello Everyone,
I am very new here so I am not sure if I qualify for an opinion yet smile But I have never been one for rules anyway so here goes :P
Most adds from females do not "speak" to you, but in all honesty they do not have to. The female in question will receive in excess of 100 replies regardless of her eloquence or writing ability. Realistically I do not think most males even read the adds anyway, so why waste time writing something nice ?

I completely understand your point, but I absolutely adore "ladies private parts" so I cannot agree with you on principle :P
My genitals are also highly intelligent, I am just exceptionally weak willed sad
Have fun

as an alternative to the game where you throw hoops over a pole - use doughnuts ;D
Sorry I'm with Warwick on this. These close up images of womens anatomy do nothing for me. I find Clarensteve_lincs_69796 (as one example) far more Alluring than most of the pictures posted in the adverts sections.
If I want to see that kinda stuff I'll hunt it down on the net (links available. PM for details wink lol ). Personally I think that something that shows off a womans curves in the right way, without revealing the whole show is far better.
I'd guess that most of these women get a reply because we (the men) outnumber them about 50 to 1.
Suppose it's horses for courses really. If that's your thing then you reply, if it's not, you don't.
I find quite a few are really nice people to write to. However I have usually screwed up BIG time with my approach in the past. I have actually hurt a couple on here and know they no longer chat with me on PM and I try to avoid posting after them in fear I still offend. It is difficult sometimes to contain the enthusiasm, and although an old dog, I still feel young again when I read things that make me think!
I have learnt a lot from this site, and just wish I could wind back the clock a little, because I felt I lost a couple of 'friends', by being an ARSE, and try ever so hard now to be more me than competition. I find it thrilling when a woman, who may not even be interested CAN talk with me, and I have found that out a tad late, because many guys just mess things up, and hopefully I have learnt my lesson. I do have quite a few I pm on here, and they are NOT interested in meeting, but I actually really like to flirt, chat and enjoy the banter...anyone who has been offended, can appreciate i do regret things, but hey we all make mistakes and I know I am not above that. Life goes on, but sometimes you just think...WHY DID I DO THAT....?
........
Lucifer and Warwick have my vote too,
I have no use for the women who are out for one thing, Oh Yeah I hear you say,I can find thattype of female in my local town, tho I guess there are many men who would die for such a female... I would rather someone who is not worried about the size of my Dick, who is intouch with herself and knows what she likes. What I have to offer is intelligence, experience, humor, time and a very educated Arse
Most if not all the women’s adds are just off putting and probably untrue.....

Hey mate mine wasnt like that!!!!!!

Yours was very lovely, but unfortunately I was out of your age-range.    :upset:
i am not sure you can win though, a lot of peeps say my advert is too long and i am too demanding in it.
i guess different types of adverts appeal to different people.

Well, I don't have an advert or should I say 'we don't have an advert'.
I wouldn't know where to start with one and would probably let Kat write it redface
I find that we get more than enough interest just from our www and really don't see the need to advertise confused
However, I think that women hate the same thing as men ie 'in your face, one liners' but, with a weighted ratio favouring the females, we get away with it dunno
Not fair, but then what is?

Too demanding?!?!?!? wBB, as far as I can see all you're asking for is older men who aren't married, whom you find attractive? Those seem to be the only hard-and-fast criteria on your advert.

I once saw an ad placed by a woman I do actually know in real life, and cringe is not the word. There's a time and a place for gynaecology, and this aint it.

Just be you - the ones who win are the ones you end up meeting. smile
Hear hear, Roger
I've always been pretty sure that the one-liners, especially those in sections seeking women, are written by wee boys looking to build their photo collection. I dare say the same is true for the ones looking for blokes, but it's gay/bi guys looking for them. Avoiding the truly badly spelt ones (even if they are a bit longer) seems to avoid these.
Besides, if they can't finger a keyboard with any kind of skill they're not getting near my tadger lol
However, what I do find disappointing is the women who don't take the trouble to reply to a message which makes an effort to give what is asked for...
