im looking for serious answers here please.
What do you do when someone accuses you of something you havnt done.
First of all my reaction to the accusation in the chatroom was a calm one, but inside a excalating temper.
To put it in a nutshell i was accused of stiring up trouble between other members on the site by someone i thought i someone i have met and enjoyed the company of.
The other people im supposed to have caused trouble too i have never met and only one of them i have chatted too in the rooms.
I told this person i was dissappointed that she believe that i would want to do such a that how could i know anything when i havnt spoken to anyone.
It sort of sticks in my stomach a bit that people all of a sudden think your out to get them in trouble or make trouble for would i want to do this? what would i have to gain because id lose a group of friends i have met and sociallised with.
It has got me thinking that now is the time to move on and not put up with shit like to find new people to chat with and meet up with if this is what people think of you.
Am i right here or do i just forget it has been said.
Of course im angry that someone thinks im that much of a wanker that id do this but id be interested in what you would do.
Time to leave?

It happens on here, and it happens in real life.
Move on and forget it. My advice for what its worth.
no
try to ignore it
there are those amongst us who will always take umbrage for whatever reason
... and then set about a little misguided slander

Don't leave.
Sod 'em. Enough people will see your post here, to cause people to rethink what they have been told.
I say let sleeping dogs turn the other cheek. And that in the nature of things a rolling stone saves nine.
My advice - offer a coffee and a chat if you can on neutral turf maybe a Costa's over a large latte with accompanying stale Italian biscuit/cakey twig - Biscotti i think its called. In itself a soothing and calming scenario I think in which it would benefit both parties. Failing this, dont get antsy about stuff grin and bear with fortitude - time sorts. Whatever dont leave ty.
And! if you fancy getting rid of some crappy feelings in a sort of slightly malevolent getting a kick out of it way. Drive around a bit doing 30 max in a 50 zone evil

i rather like to coffee'd-caffiene approach of your solution there Lostie
but how about a more energised:
double expresso, super sugared confrontation... with a little high-blood-pressure punch up?
then a relaxing muffin of some description?

You still on that station in your own personal space Lp :lol2:
I'm going to bed chortling. I like a good chortle.
Because it happend on here I would leave it, it's supposed to be fun!
Ignore it and move on, it is was late at night no doubt drink had a part to play in it.
I'm of the "ignore it" school of thought too... why should you leave because of stuff other people have said?
so the punch up wasn't a good idea then?

Been there, done that, got the waterproof rainjacket to go with it.
When someone you have come to trust as a friend turns against you for something that wasn't your fault, it does make you feel like packing it all in and moving on but at the end of the day why should you?
It's hard to let it ride and move on but it's the best way to deal with it. Put your side of the story across to them and let them make their own minds up. If they're as much of a friend as they say, they'll stick by you. If not then they weren't worth your time anyway.
Stick with it and hold your head up. You know the truth and if that's on your side, you have nothing to be ashamed of kiss
Ain't life grand...
Hold your head high in the knowledge of what was the truth and ignore the rest..
Remember, today's news is tomorrows sausage wrapper
Rise above it and console yourself in the knowledge that you are made of better stuff and let them suffer the angst about the affair. Others will look up to you for it and it will sure annoy the hell out of the protagonists. wink
They have ovbiously go very sad lives. Leave em to it, they will be talking about somebody else tomora
biggrin
Definitely ignore it. It's far more dignified. Regard it as a plus that you have discovered another tosser you can strike off your list and not waste any more of your valuable time on. To react by leaving would mean they had "won" twice and eventually we would be only left with the tossers. mad  :x

But you are single or you not?
Or is this what TY is saying about others getting involved in things dunno
Flamer is saying ,, that some guys think they need to send text messages to a girl and let her know all her partner is doing on the site ,,,

If a couple are totally honest there shouldn't be anything that he is doing that she is unaware of surely. In this case I would just laugh at the guy that sent the text and look at him as a bit of a fool, and one to be ignored. dunno
My thoughts exactly ,,, think he shows what a sad person he is by doing it in first place but hey x,x,x

But then if he knew this couple it could have been a bit of a joke that back fired! dunno
