I love this reply! It suits everybody who smokes, whether they're on five a day or fifty! And it sounds so well-behaved. Or do those who choose it think it has some other meaning? In fact, what does it mean?
Drinkers (of which I am one) aren't given this option. I would be happy to say I drink 'an average amount'. It sounds much better than drinking 'most nights' - that just makes me sound like an old soak!
Ummm good point!
I suppose it's nicer way of saying I smoke like a chimney and smell like an ashtray but I don't want to admit it. confused
(that's me, btw, I'm not having a dig at anyone!)
The bi-curious bit gets me. I always assumed that people who were curious and little or no experience but more and more frequently I see profiles that calim to have had many bi experiences yet still remain "curious".
How many experiences do you need to stop being curious and label yourself bi?
Well I know I drink an average amount because I always order drinks in average measures cool
If there was an optiion that said, 'I love smoking and drinking' then that's what I'd click. It would also be useful if other vices were listed...
Mod Edit
Seriously, though - I think the smoking bit is clear enough - it lets people know who the smokers are if they want to avoid them. I would imagine one cig a day would be too much for someone who hates the smell of smoke.
Well I don't smoke but I fume a lot and stamp my feet ... you may have noticed lol

I rather like 'curious' - it sounds intriguing, and 'bi-curious' sounds doubly so, and more interesting than 'straight'! Perhaps it is? Now I am curious. smile :)
Now, you see bi-curious to me sounds like "don't go there - they have no experience and expect you to do all the work". Rightly or wrongly, that's my interpretation.
Just having "bi" means they know what they like and aren't afraid to show it.
Having said that, I had "straight" on my profile for some time just 'cos I got sick of cpls and fems assuming that cos I'm bi, I'll pretty much shag owt. Especially annoying as my profile clearly stated I'm looking for single men. confused
It would probably be easier just to say "Yes" to being a smoker. If people don't want to meet smokers that's all they really need to know. If you don't mind meeting smokers then what difference does it make if someone selects "average" or "heavy"?!
Mind you, a heavy smoker might put me off as they might want to stop every 5 minutes for a fag lol
If you've been a smoker in the past, you know that there are moments when a smoker really wants a fag - like after a shag.
It's rather nice to be able to anticipate this, and say, "I bet you're dying for a fag", and even to have a packet to hand - just in case!

I agree, the term is a bit ambiguous. Can I suggets an addition to the sexual preferences of "bi-flexible" or "bi-friendly"??!

Personally, it was about 3 biggrin
The "curious" was a good way for me to show that I wasn't going to run away screaming at the idea but I dropped it once I worked out I was bi. Now I wonder if I'm going to get to "very bi" - whatever that means confused:
