Random google question...

Sorry, totally off topic but I have a Facebook page, it's not in my real name. I've been pondering whether to make one in my real name to get in touch with school friends etc.
However, in my ponderings I decided that I'd google my name and see what came up before I did that. Low and behold, I'm the first hit with my work email address showing on some random Bebo post that one of the numpty trainees from work posted about a night out at work!
Now I've asked the girl who's Bebo it is to remove the post from her page and she's done that but I'm still showing up in google. Does anyone know if that can be removed or does it just stay there in random internet history?

Next time that the page gets crawled it should be removed, you could also try this;

I've got two facebook accts both in my real name, one is for family mainly and the other ... isn't wink

... but I don't put any work people on either and have my privacy settings locked down.

Try contacting them and ask for it to be removed ( long shot but worth it ) I was checking out the street views on google maps one day and found my car registration plate in full view!!! I asked them to remove it which they did within a matter of minutes :thumbup:

I have a really common name so it would be about page 3,999 of any search results until anyone found anything remotely close to being me... so I think I'm safe, for now :P

Do you know what the really irritating thing about this thread is now I'm wondering what all your real names are so I can googlebrity search and have a little giggle at the random people it throws up.
I've an unusual name and the only things I've found connected to me are an online petition which I signed last year and one family member's network site profile page. The rest are randoms. I could invent me a whole new life. The possibilities are endless.

I googled mine and I could be a Clinical Director Of Diabetic Nursing, an artist, a playwright for the BBC or a hypnotherapist.
Sounds a lot more interesting than my old job confused
