The thing about ebay is you can only leave feedback if you've bought or sold something e.g. if I buy something I can leave feedback on that item.
Here there's nothing to stop you giving feedback to anyone and whilst I'll agree with you that the truly vindictive people are going to be a minority, there's also an issue of what people class as "not genuine".
For example, I've been in pms with guys and they've stated that they've come across a lot of timewasters and people who aren't genuine. Now I took this to mean people who haven't turned up and not bothered to phone.
Turns out 1 guys view of "non genuine" was people who didn't reply to his winks :shock:
He'd seen a couple advertising for large cocks, sent a wink and because they didn't immediately reply inviting him round his view was they weren't genuine.
That isn't the only instance I've seen of that type of view. We see threads on here moaning all the time about not getting replies and I don't see how you could stop people giving negative feedback in these circumstances

I understand why you've raised the topic and I do think it's worthy of discussion, but like others have said it would only work if everyone was completely honest. But if everyone was completely honest there'd be no need for it anyway.
Also to use the examples you've given:
let's imagine I arrange to meet a male. We've swapped pics, cammed together, decided we're both up for it and arrange a meet.

I find the ebay feedback system to be completly flawed as in practice people are terrifed to leave neg feedabck on someone for fear of neg feedabck in return.
I have never given neg feedabck when I wanted to for this reason, I just don't give feedback to the nasty ones.
I have come across the most corrupt ebayers with healthy 100% feedback that were shill bidding on all their listings.
The only time it is useful is when there are a quite a few neg feedbacks on someone, and you work on the basis of there being no smoke without fire.
Well i dont fancy being rated by anyone and i wouldnt like to rate someone either. I couldve been very polite to someone, sexy in my own way but they still didnt have a good time. Then the next person couldve appreciated me as I am. One rates me good the other rates me bad. Which one is right to the next person looking. I think that you have to make up your own mind about potential playmates. If they dont turn up or you dont have a good time just forget it and move on.

I would have thought that the worst aspect of rating and validation, would be to have no rating at all, on one's profile. eg 0=totally unfuckable, steer clear folks.
But is there not already an informal system at work, simply by gossip, rumour, reports on meets, pms detailing events, thankyou messages etc. All these up the 'rating' of anyone mentioned.
