cool i seen it before but was good to watch it again!!
It was watching those and coming on here and meeting my shagging partner a combination of what got me interested in swinging, this time last year Id have had a totally different attitude to the whole thing!

First time I've seen the series but it is interesting. Not necessarily unbiased, and the people are definately not the only 'types' you would see at a party but I guess from tabloid TV's point of view they have to take who will tell them the story and most of us are a little more camera shy rolleyes

I've liked the look of the establishments they have featured so far though, it might be time to try a club sometime this year................... :twisted:

Dont you find that swingers are often a bit like people who watch sport on TV ? Theres no such thing as bad TV as long as its about swinging . Weve yet to see a single decent attempt at a programme on the subject , its a topic only used for cheap ratings and schedule filling . Closest to an entertaining show on the subject was when Louis Theroux took the piss . At least he was an honest piss taker .

Suppose it depends on the viewers point of view!
Suppose proper swingers (unlike myself) might see it different!
I dont think they were portrayed as being anything other than normal! But as I said Im saying that from a novice viewers point of view yes it may be used to boost ratings what programmes arent!
Came accross to me as quite tastefully documented!?

Actually it was because I watched the first series that I ended up in Radlett's (and thoroughly enjoyed it too).
When I was looking to go I didn't excatly know the address so I asked my good friend google and he pointed me to SH - that's how I found SH and have been visiting sporadically this forum until I gathered enough courage to join.
So you can blame Channel 5 for me being here pestering you

I was just a bit "dubious" about how set-up the bit with the single bloke was. I mean - he placed/answered an ad and had a successful meet with a beautiful French girl who was attracted to him immediately - all in the time it took to film the series?
Hmmmmm - tad synical about that one. Just look at the success rate of the single guys around here!!

I thought it was a nice try but felt bad that they were subtly taking the pi$$ out of that sweet older couple with the pink bedroom... i thought the older lady with the lingerie shopping was really cool and showeed a very positive side to swinging. The single guy was hilarious - I was a bt jealous that he just met the sexy french lady so quick! (is that was real).

Hmmm, but he did come out of the party by himself... could have been more of "make up a couple to get in" situation rather than the two making it together.
Success rate??? can you measure this in fractions of a percent ??

They did say that he was only meeting her for the purposes of getting into the party, which was for couples only. When he came out of the party to talk to the camera he was talking about the party, not his date for the night, & he clearly regarded the experience as a success (lucky b**tard rolleyes

).
I think it is an honest bit of television, showing swingers as being normal people but with high sex drives. They showed different situations in which swingers might meet (party, club, etc), talked of bad experiences, & so on.
I was going through the couple ads a few days ago, & I'm sure I came across (no pun intended!!) the window cleaning couple. :P

I watched the first one with my wife, we have been getting ever closer for some time to exploring swinging together, and her reaction to that was very favourable. I was looking forward to watching again on wednesday, to progress the topic, when just before it started my 18 year old came home and wanted to watch something else. We went upstairs to watch in on the TV in our bedroom...only to find the TV would not work. So I missed the golden opportunity to progress from the perspective of showing more normal swingers.
So I have and appeal. Did anyone tape it? If so can they PM me if it is possible for me to borrow the tape.

Chris & Lorraine ( blackpool ) here from 2nd have done some filming for the TRISHA show thats now on channel out early Feb will post the exact date on here when we all about the perfect wife/relationship and we are speaking from the swinging side of things.
