Red Nose Day
This year is on the 16th March

What are you doing for Red Nose Day this year??
Please post your photos with your 'nose' here, please make sure they are within the site AUP, as I know where some of you will be wearing them!! if they are outside the AUP for the forum but within the photo guidlines, put them in your 'my photos' and tell us they are there!!!
Even admin can take part in this one! :giggle:
lol :bounce:
I have added mine to my avatar....
splendid
Ooooo I shall have to think on this one Sarah....mmmmmm now where can I put a red nose? (besides me nose that is lol )
xanaisx
No photos I'm afraid but a few years back I had half my beard shaved off in the middle of a public library and walked around for a fortnight half shaved. I said that next time it would be half my body hair but the shudders at this discouraged me.
Tosh
That sounds interesting, lol
Did they dye the other half of it red??
No but as soon as it was done I went off to a mirror and put my hand over the hairy half. (I've had the beard since I was eighteen) to see what I looked like. 'Yuck! A potato!' I thought.
It's going silver now and I never planned on looking like Santa Claus so perhaps its days are numbered.

Tosh, I've just remembered what it was I said to you that time.. lol
Which bit reminded you? The hairy half, the potato or Santa Claus?

i was in Sainsburys today....they were selling Red Nose Ginger Bread Men for 99p each....they weren't very big but i thought its a good cause...until i saw that only 10p actually goes to the cause....so Sainsburys get the other 89p.....i can get them in my local bakers for 35p each!!
And don't forget, whilst Terry Wogan is laying it on during the TV program, asking the over-taxed British public to dig deep once again, he is quietly pocketing £1300 AN HOUR for reading off an autocue.

I thought he did Children in Need??
The first ever Red Nose day I played the piano in assembly dressed like a music maestro and red nose. I was only 9!
Anyway my mum thought it would be a good idea to put green food dye in my hair to complete the outfir - the only thing was it didn't wash out!
Im not doing much personally because ive already shelled out a fortune at the kids school. We paid for non-uniform day. Took in all our loose change so the kids can see how long the change goes around the playground. Bought their red noses and did some sponsored reading too.

So you've gone from being Kermit to Miss Piggy? ;-)
forked out 5 quid today for red nose day so the kid could wear something red at school for non uniform day( this i begrudge a little because the uniform jumperr is red and they still had to pay £1 to wear a uniform or not) he got a cake and a red nose and some raffle tickets but would like to actually know just how much of the £5 for each child is going to charity
when my son falls asleep il take a pic with his red rose (that has eyes a mouth and sunglases!) and put it up here

Yep, Trudie Styler dunno
Well fLuck me :eeek:
Look what google brings up
Veteran rocker STING's wife TRUDIE STYLER has proudly confessed the couple enjoy threesomes with strangers in 'swinging' clubs.
Film producer Styler revealed during an interview with American radio DJ HOWARD STERN she and her 52-year-old husband love going to sex clubs - because it's "rock'n'roll".
She said, "Swinging is like wife-swapping. Of course, we're doing it. I'm European. We do all that stuff. We have a lot more fun than you guys. It's rock'n'roll. Isn't that what we're supposed to do?
"I don't get jealous. He likes to go to these clubs where they all get naked, I just sort of hang out and talk to them."
Styler detailed one occasion in 1996 when she was "turned on" by joining in with Sting and another woman, because she's "a very womanly woman".
She explained, "It was in one of those German places where everyone is doing it."
Styler, 49, also admitted to taking every illegal drug possible.
When asked by Stern if she had ever taken dance drug Ecstasy, she answered, "I've done everything. I've been around the block and then some."
By way of explanation as to her and her husband's unconventional behaviour she offered, "We don't want to be legit. That's boring."
this show always brings a tear to my eye and this year it has done more than any........
it's so easy to sit here and think I'm in a bad situation...........but when I hear about other people....I realise I'm so lucky that I can at least call 999 when others can't.
I'm lucky to have everything i have, and be able to call for support when I need it..........my thoughts are with those that aren't in this situation......and those both here and abroad that don't have the luxuries we have...

I got our red noses from Sainsburys on the demand and tantrum of my daughter who simply had to have one for school this morning - I wasnt going to get one at all simply because I really dont think that red noses being exclusive to one supermarket chain is a good idea in terms of fundraising/ ethics behind it. Having the monopoly on a charitable cause surely cant be in the best interests of the people we're raising money for?
I may be wrong on this, but dont Sainsbury's have exclusive rights to the red nose this year? I'm sure that's what I saw on their ad campaign...and there's certainly no red noses elsewhere anywhere locally because I've looked! They dont even sell them in school anymore
