Out with a group of "happily married" women last night, who I have known for years, the conversation came round to sex!
They don't know that my hubby and I are active swingers and one girl asked if I had ever been tempted to have sex with another guy! lol!
I said that I had and waited for their reaction!
Amazingly, all six of the girls then admitted to having had sex with other guys since they were married! All had had at least two other guys!
Now i don't know if my group of friends are typical married women, or whether it's an unusual group! Quite frankly, even I was staggered!
Does anyone know what the norm is?

There seem to be new sets of statistics coming out nearly every day now in connection with this topic, and here is one recent one:
Excerpt from Recovering From Affairs, A Handbook for Couples by Peggy Vaughan and James Vaughan, Ph.D.: "The current consensus of sex researchers is that 60% of married men and 40% of married women have an affair at some point during marriage. (The percentage of married women having affairs is continuing to increase; under age 35 both men and women are in the 60% range.) This means that affairs happen in a lot of marriages -- probably upwards of 80%."

Whether "affair" is the appropriate word in every case is debatable - "fling" might be better, but who can really say what the difference is? There's lots on this topic on the net anyway.
Mike.
Sounds pretty familiar to me. Same thing with my best mate... long term partner of 10 years but regularly ushers one or other lover out the back gate while her significant other is coming throught the front.
The irony is, he'd freak if he knew she was still in contact with me because I'm a *swinger  dunno :lol2:
I'm not going to get onto my moral high-horse but will say, at least my partners know they're not the only ones :P wink
