Thank you xx
Thanks Varcs. xx
It never seems like 21 years have gone by.

A really interesting article.
April 15th is always a solemn day.

Thanks Nola, that's a brilliant link - I'm so glad I didn't miss that.
What a wonderful thread - thanks for all that effort, varca.
I usually tend to think of this event as an example of bad policing. But that's another story
Plim
thats the nicest thing i ever read.....
our boys 21 today n readin it bought on the same feeling i had then........
Yes it's a great poem. It's called The Justice Bell by a guy called Dave Kirby. Very powerful. It was read at a memorial I went to a couple of years ago - it's somehow even more powerful when read aloud.
When all the lights go out forever
Somewhere near the end of time
The noise will pass and the dust will settle
And you'll be on my mind
Now you won't find it hard to understand
Though it's so hard to explain
The who and what and how and why and wherefore
You kept me sane
You kept me sane
'Cos you were there for me
Oh, and you set me free
To be what I want to be
With dignity
Heart as big as my hometown
Lay me down by water cool
Heart as big as the city
Heart as big as Liverpool
Well I'll come running from the other side
When I hear you call my name
And if somebody wants to point the finger
I'll take the blame
I'll take the blame (I'll do the same)
'Cos you were there for me
Oh, and you set me free
To be what I want to be
With dignity
Heart as big as my hometown
Lay me down by water cool
Heart as big as the city
Heart as big as Liverpool
And I am not alone
And I am not alone
And I am not alone
And I am not alone
And I am not alone (You are not alone)
And I am not alone (You are not alone)
And I am not alone (You are not alone)
And I am not alone (You are not alone)
Now i am not from Liverpool but this song stands alongside the official video tribute to the 96 men women and children who from Sheffield i pass the stadium regularly and today usually i would of been sat in Leppings Lane Stand as a visitor to always sends a shiver down my spine as you pass the same tunnel Their ghosts still talk to you You Will Never Walk Alone
They were part of the Football Family many laid shirts last year at the memorial Liverpool,Everton,Man Utd,Sheff Utd and Sheff Wed .We have our rivals but when it comes down to it most fans feel something deep i Laid my shirt down i read it
IN MEMORY OF THE 96
MEN WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHO TRAGICALLY DIED
AND THE COUNTLESS PEOPLE WHOSE LIVES WERE CHANGED FOREVER
