Reminder about the chatroom

The chatroom is going to be for registered users only from midnight on Friday.
That doesn't mean you have to be registered on Swinging Heaven, it means that the nickname you use for the chatroom must be registered on the Spoffle server.
This is a very simple procedure and the instructions can be found >>>here<<<
Once you've entered the chatroom with your registered nickname you are still free to change it to something else but you must use the registered nickname to join the room.
Spoffle allow you to register up to five different nicknames but if a nickname is not used for a period of 45 days that name is released and becomes free for somebody else to register.
The chatroom is currently unregistered so if you are having a problem registering your nickname you can still get in and ask one of the chatroom operators for help. You won't be able to do this from midnight on Friday though so please do it as soon as possible!!

OOps!

Just double checked with Spoffle and the period before de-registration of a nickname is 45 days not 14.

Don't worry, it's not all that hard to do, you don't need to actually understand any of it, just follow the instructions...and if you can't work it out on your own, there is always someone around who'll talk you through it!

on login page to chat its not got anywere saying to reg
just nickname
and nickname password
took me straight to chat ?????

You go into the chatroom as normal and then you type the commands above into the bit where you type your messages. Hope that helps.

ive given up. nothing i try coming up saying my isp is banned and ive never even been in there yet, to say its a pain is an understatement.

Well, I tried to get into the chat room but failed miserably.
"Desired Nickname"?... Is that the one I use on the Forums or a different name altogether?
"Nick password"?.... Did that but no joy.
"Enter the chat room as normal"..... Errr, tricky one, this is. If you've never managed to get in, how do you know what Normal is?
I did all the / ID and /activate stuff (Upper and lower case).... Zip, nada, zilch.
I think I'll go and catalogue my amusing Cornflakes collection, lol

Hi Blue, Yes, I think so anyway.
I did all the things starting with a / as shown in the bumpf and tried using the password I sign in to the forums with. I also tried the Key that I received in an e-mail. All sorts of stuff.
I'm going to cry in a minute and then you'll be sorry. :cry:

Once you obtain the activation key you need to type in:
/ns ACTIVATE yournumberhere
You should then get in, but if you don't get in instantly, try typing:
/join #SwingingHeaven
You need to do this exactly, with spaces where they are here.
