Has anyone ever tried one of these type of courses?
If so what are your thoughts, did you lose concentration after cpl hours in car each day and didnt take stuff in,or do you feel you learned quicker with this method.
Any thoughts and info will be helpful in deciding.
Thanks.
Hi. I did one two years ago in Blackpool. Really enjoyed it. Was good value for money - cheapest one from memory - and established the longest from what I could see.
Really benefitted from the long sessions, but then completely ballsed it up in the test so didn't pass!
That, alas, is my downfall. I can drive but am rubbish when test pressure is on. Wouldn't let that put you off though! The fact that I spent four days driving for hours in an area I didn't know at all actually helped my general road confidence a lot.
Have been putting it off but am starting regular lessons again next month - fingers crossed! And best of luck for you too...

Do you remember name of company you used?as will probably go to blackpool if take up this course xx
my 17 yo son passed first time on one of these, it was quick and turned out far cheaper than a course of lessons. I'd recommend it! good luck
I done an intensive driving course and yes I found it brilliant. I found weekly lessons harder as I would forget things,b ut doing it constantly kept my brain fresh. Come the 3rd day though, I had to cut my lesson in half as my brain was not functioning at all. I made stupid little mistakes. I went back in the driving seat the next day and my lessonwent really well. Then test day and failed  I have done 6 tests since and still aint got my licence. It's not that I can't drive, I just do something really stupid on the day of the test. In all 7 tests I have never had more than 5 minors (the average and still able to pass is 8), but I do think the intensive course was the best money I ever spent. The only advice I will give is if you are on day 3 or 4 and you are making silly mistakes or finding it difficult to take in what your instructor is telling you, then finish your lesson for that day and go back the next.
I got a problem now. My theory certificate has run out so I have to do it again  Gonna try automatic driving next as all my tests have failed at junctions and roundabouts coz i feck up on the gears
Good luck
