Routine Maintanence

At some point today between 1300 and 2100 (That's between 1 oclock and 9 oclock WBB!!) the site will be going off-line for about 20 minutes. :cry: :cry: :cry:
This is to allow the server to complete some routine maintanence. Counselling will be available for those that need it!! :shock: :shock: :shock: lol

Will the GFZ jacuzzi be open during this time? Where should we go? Who do we turn to? (more to the point... does eagerslut know?!?) :shock:

Sorry folks, it's true and there's nothing I can do about it, this server has been up continuously for over 200 days, and in order to make sure it carries on serving us well, they need to unplug it briefly... I'm just going to be monitoring things to make sure everything comes back up as it should.

PS Venus, I run daily database backups, so worst case scenario is we lose a day's worth of posts

Have the national grid been warned? think of all the kettles that will be switched on ....... :shock:

99.9% sure of this, but I'm not involved in the tech side of this site... since the chatroom is not run from the SH servers, it won't be affected.
Those of you running mIRC should be able to get in as normal, those of you using the SH page will be able to keep on using the chatroom if they get into chat before the server goes down.
