I would think you don't have to pay. If you are able to post on here, it suggests you may have a full membership. Perhaps you should pm a mod or one of the admin (Elliot, Noel, St3v3, Martin) and ask them directly?

Am I missing something? A lot of personal ads talk about payment - I never have had to pay and I get answers to ad's resonably frequently (not as often as I would like though :P ) have SH started charging for newbies? and if so how much! I thought this was a free service?

Thanks for the update Steph - I sure do feel like I have been under a rock! I have noticed the changes and wondered what the hell was going on!
Well it's a shame in my opinion as the photo ads have gone right down hill with the changes.
BTW do you know if you can still get in the chatroom using programs like mIRC? The web browser one is pretty poor
