It is with great sadness that Allan the owner of Eureka passed away suddenly last night. Our thoughts are with his family and close friends.
I have placed this post after a few requests so members can leave their own thoughts and messages.
A great man who will always be in our thoughts and our hearts.
Love you Big Man

I'm with you there Deal, Alan was one of the nicest fellas ever and it is with great sadness we hear the news. Many a time we spent a few laughs over trivia after a few beers. won't even mention his "join in " method in the couples room :-)
sadly missed, a great star and love to his family

That's a shame. He was Eureka. Wonder what will happen now?
OMG - haven't been in a while, but he always made me feel welcome. It was a venue, a home, never got "Single male - bah!" Treatment there. He captured the "welcome home and boogie" feel in the place. Shame never got to know him as well on personal level, but without doubt loved by those close to him, and admired by more.
Thought's prayers and well wishes.
Manni.
R.I.P Alan,
Thoughts with your family and friends.
Like many people last night I was floored when I heard this news. Allan had a presence about him, always a welcoming smile and a grin, that is going to missed by all I am sure.
My heart felt sympathies and thoughts go out to his family and those close to him, to the guys and girls that work at the club, to the family that is Eureka.
My ever lasting image of him will be the 70’s social with him dressed in a rather dapper Pimp suit, and of his final words at the end of each party night “Thanks for your money, now **** off†followed by a snigger.
A great man that I wish I had known better.
A big man who will be missed by all
Our heartfelt thoughts to his family and all his friends
We are so floored by the news. Allan was the heart and soul of Eureka and great fun with his own unique sense of humour! He will be greatly missed by us all, he was one of life's larger than life characters and most certainly Eureka will never be the same without him.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, children and all his close friends.
Rest in Peace Allan xXx

I am in a state of total shock at the news.
I didn't know Alan to call him a friend, I wish I had, but he always said hello, had a hearty handshake and a cheeky comment.
My heartfelt wishes are with his family and close friends and well as the 'Eureka Family' that loved him so much.
It will take a very long time for it to sink in that he is gone, but he will never be forgotten.
On a personal note, keep on swinging Alan, you loved your golf, I wish I'd had the chance to play a round with you.
Rest easy now Big Man.
Our thoughts are with everyone today, such sad sudden news...
Allan made Eureka what it is and I hope the 'Eureka Family' can carry it on.
As much as he took the mick out of me,as he did with everyone, he had a heart of gold and even helped me out by giving me some shifts behind the bar a few years back.
He will be greatly missed by us.
With love to his children,
Nice n Juicyx
Ive only been a few times to eurekas, but it did seem to me that Alan was the life and soul of a pary, it looked like he had time for any one, id had a meeting with a lady there one night, he knew this and jokingly came up to me and said "right then youve had your fun cooler, now you can sod off" winking at me and giving me a friendly slap on the back walking away with a cheeky grin on his face......im sure he will be sadly missed by all that new him

I have such funny memories of Alan dressed as a school master, Alan dressed as a pimp, Alan dressed as father xmas - shouting thanks for your money now Fek Off! He was a unique and very special man, a great host, great dj (sometimes!) larger than life and so much fun - I shall miss him.
We've only met Alan once, last year. Our first visit to a club. He made us feel welcome. The world needs people like him.
Rest in peace.
