I hope nobody has put this one up yet....
It has been posted twice before, but it doesnt make it any less funny!!! lol lol
And I hope nobody puts it up again. Talentless, unoriginal shite if you ask me. Yeah, I know you weren't.
Okay, I'll take it in the "jovial nature" it was meant.
I mean that, and no offence to any who have posted before me and I hope that THIS is taken in the spirit in which the original posting was intended............
next time you walk past a homeless person at Christmas time...................
Slip a couple of quid in their empty coffee cup! They dont have time to take the piss out of themselves on the internet!!
Glad tidings to all at this time when sooooo many are less fortunate than us.
{edited for spelling}
I tried to refrain from answering, I really did. No I am not offended by the comment - but - I just had to add.....

I would never consider slipping anyone with an empty coffee cup a couple of quid!
The generally accepted truth (by people who work with the homeless) is the money won't go towards anything which will assist in keeping this person healthy or alive.
However, I would recommend any of the following:
Buy the Big Issue - on average I buy 3 or 4 copies every week.
Don't trash your unwanted furniture and clothes - there are plenty of organisations that will ensure it goes to people who will get use from it. Most of these will even collect from your door, so it is less effort than taking the stuff to the tip.
If you want to give a couple of quid - give it to a charity that feeds the homeless. You will be helping several people who are less fortunate.
I would be more likely to give a beggar a warm drink or something to eat, if they are genuinely homeless and hungry they will appreciate it.
OK - use the same link but try the Farting Elves cartoon instead!

Totally agree with PL
If you do have spare change, think about finding out who runs the local soup kitchen in your area, sometimes the Salvation Army. These groups always struggle for funding. They will also pick up furniture etc which will be put to good use for those less fortunate than ourselves which obviously goes further than the homeless.
The thing that pisses me off most is that so many "charities" employ directors (FFS) at great cost. I'd rather that my money goes to those that need it!!
I'm sure all on here feel the same....
the Laird
I bought a Big Issue last week ... I'm going back to Dolcis for the other one tomorrow.
