When i'm 90 and chair ridden i will have every excuse not to show any interest in my grandkids new fangled computer, because i will be excused. loon
However when i have a 5 year old daughter who expects her dad to be able to work and platt these useless pieces of plastic into jewellery and bracelets i have to at least show interest. neutral
ive read some instructions on hopw to but Please please if i see another one ill boody scream banghead
Ok sory rant over Back to your copulating oops sorry coffee
Yep matey my youngest is into them as well
I THOUGHT Scoobys were 4 wheel drive turbo nutter WRC replicas
must be getting old
Sorry, I can't help..... sons are much easier to deal with... building train sets is easy :lol2:
I'm getting a little tired of finding single Scoobies lying about car and house when they have gone. Either the Scoobies go or the kids
Only one i kinew was Shaggies mate rolleyes
Sorry Bluexxxxxxxxx but mines a ten year old boy with the scoobys thing
what amazes me is the absolute glee in which they point at a piece of plastic on the street and yelp "look! its a Scoobie!!

Dont let my kids what any of that, what rubbish!!
Currently brainwashing my 4 yr old with the Jolly Phonics video!! rolleyes
Gem u can teach me and my daughter scoobies, i cant do it, i agree with Blue train sets are much easier! My daughter was a tom boy until the age of 5, then starting going 'pink' on me confused Her 2nd birthday present was a Thomas Train Set lol.
I think scoobies are quite universal. I taught a group of high school lads last year and they were scoobie mad, making pen covers and keyrings etc... they were loving it.
Anyway, its good for hand eye co-ordination and pattern making skills as well as ordering skills. :P So it does have some worth and how many of us adults want to be working our brains over 24/7??? so why do it to your poor kiddy winkies??? confused Hmmm... Let them have some gruesome fun about picking bogies and dunking people in gunk... run the risk used to be my fave saturday telly programme and I turned out ok...
<ERM> <cough> Kinda ok....
bolt
I remember Chris Tarrant, Bob Carolgees and Spit the dog - bloody loved them on telly. Amused by a dog that spits. I don't comment about what my kids watch, unless it's really nasty. If I objected, it would make it so much more attractive and they'd just watch it at their mates' houses. I'd much rather they watched something in my house than sneak off somewhere else. Let them be kids.
Sorry to say I've got no kids but on the odd time I'vr been up and seen the TV it is crap. The last half decent sat morning show was SM:TV with Ant and Dec and (slobbering now) Cat. They talked to the kids and not at the them. As for some of the things Dick and Dom do its no wonder that kids are out of control.

Our kids are looking forward to Saturday mornings again :bounce:
I'd much rather let them see food and muck being thrown about than power rangers or anything else with violence.
As for shouting 'bogies' in public places, it harmless fun that causes the kids to laugh like mad :lol2:
Having spent tonight ordering a new PC for our eldest child's 14th birthday next month makes me realise again how quick they grow up. Children aren't children for very long so in my opinion we should allow them to enjoy being a kid.

Nothing against the 'bogies' thing but please don't do it in your child's classroom - it just makes you look like an absolute prat! We had one parent who insisted on doing it and even her own child was embarrassed. lol

The worst of it, is that she's a dinnerlady too. All the kids refer to her as 'so and so's daft mother'

I expect any parent who tries that in Bev's classroom gets asked to spell it, and gets a smackbottom if they spell it wrong, especially if they include an apostrophe!
Mike.
On a point of Schools My delicious new partner is a teacher and she brought home a GCSE paper on Maths last night

Well sorry peeps, but I've been around long enough to remember (and enjoy) scoobies when they first appeared ........ and don't ask how many decades ago that was.
H has a daughter from a previous marriage, and she thinks I'm cool cos I can do em, so i'm not complaining about this latest craze
Oh and I'm banned from the house on saturday mornings cos I don't get dick & dom... they love it
