The only lesson that can be learned from this whole incident is choose your friends wisely and never put yourself in a compromising situation where others can take advantage. This is a swinger’s site and some people do seem to think that anything and everyone is fair game.

i was at that party and had to ask my hubby to tell the guy early on to stop following me around with a cam. It was not a regular in our circle of friends. When we got home i obtained his email and asked him for any copies of pics he had took of me. he sent 2 im sure he had more. Non of the pics or videos were consentual does this not make it illegal?
We take pics at parties and all are only with the agreement of those on them. we show them the pic and ask if they would like it deleted if so we happily delete there n then and we Never send anyones pic to a third party.

I was also one of those that was videoed (unknowingly) and cannot believe anyone would even consider putting the pics at the party in question of not only me but all those concerned onto a disc to hand out to various people WITHOUT the consent of the people in them.
I got given a copy of it on Friday but didnt actually look at it until Monday evening......I was fucking mortified!!!!!! not only a couple of video's but also pictures of me naked. Loads of copies had been handed out before I had actually seen it myself and I ask to all those who have obtained a copy to please delete the video and all pics of me that are on it and not to distribute (although there prolly on the fucking net somewhere by now).

That's at the discretion of the organiser. If it's a munch, the organiser will include the instruction in the PM giving details.

I don't think blanket bans on pictures at parties and socials are the answer, the simple soloution is always ask whoever your taking a picture of if its okay to take it, and where it might be used (the later not always easy to define)
Back when swinging was all about ads in the back of loot, which is how I first got involved in it with an ex, god, years ago. Myself and my then partner met up with a couple whom owned a pub in Lecesiter. After asking us if we were up for being videoed. To which we gave a resounding no to. I discovered that later we were actually being filmed, even though the guy in question tried to maintain the camera was off. Well knowing something about Cameras, I put the lens cap on it, rewound the tape and then camera blacked the whole thing from the beginning.
We were very young and somewhat naieve back then, but jesus that was a horrorfying experience and I didnt come back to the scene after that until some ten years later.
To hear of anything similar, I always find very disrespectful.

Rox - let's say it was this person's partner or themselves. I assume they would take damn good care of any video footage to ensure it was never seen. So why not of the (illegally taken) footage of you??? Even if it were true, it's the crappest excuse in the world.

Naming and shaming is not the answer but I do agree that any organiser needs to know, so that they can make an informed decision. However, I think the onus is on the organiser to ask admin/mods if this person is on their list. Admin and mods can't win on this one - if they ask for guest lists people think they are being intrusive and over-policing. If they don't ask, people say they are neglecting their reponsibility.
It appears that this person is a chat room person who is known by others - if that's the case, don't invite him. He's obviously committed a foul act and needs to know that he isn't welcome because of that. But highlighting the action on forum is a bit pointless anyway if he did it secretly.
