Separate email address for SH mail?

Reading through numeorus threads over the last few months, I'm constantly surprised to see members using work email addresses to join here and having them visible to all members!
As an example, I just spotted a newbie who'd done this and did a quick search to prove my point, I now know this guys full name, what he does for a living, where his business is based, the name of his business partner, what business related events he is attending in August, that his business had a vacancy last month and even his mobile number!
Luckily, I'm not a scary ass stalker but this took one search and I only clicked on two links! :shock:
This is not intended to scare anyone into leaving a dust trail as they dash away from SH at warp speed but isn't this just common sense? I appreciate that some people don't care if the world and it's mother knows who they are and what they're up to but as we're all so careful not to name times/places for meets/dogging it seems silly not to attempt to protect ourselves from some of the less than trustworthy people out there!
I set up a separate email address to use specifically for SH although mine isn't displayed publicly anyway, surely others have done this too?

Yep, it is so easy to get an email adress on ! Nail, ...
I use mine for all the swinging related stuff I do with the incoming mail redirected to a different folder depending on what site it's from.

Spot on Serendipity - I have a work e-mail addy, and a personal one. I don't care who knows what I do in me spare time, but I won't use the work addy for anything but work - simply, they take up enough of my time as it is, and what I do outside hours should have fugg all to do with them, so I won't give 'em a chance!

erm .. looks at his photo ad email ...*hl_autos@......" does the works own email count in this case lol never get any mail except adverts for toold ect on it so i used it on here to save me ploughing through my personal mail for reaplys lol ..ah well doesnt matter too much to me but then again i allways give out my own one for the company instead of the companies own one now so isnt much of a trail smile

im upto 6 accounts for different things, 2 work, 1 general, 1 for crap and online comps etc 1 with unlimited size for storage and my SH account. no wonder i get bugger all done on time

from an e mail addy and rough location
you can either or electoral register
you then got addy ,co habitants , phone number and various other bits of information
so the be carefull bit is very relavent in life general

Oh good, it's not just me then <crosses out paranoia from list of distinguishing features> biggrin

Perhaps one of the problems is that because the forum is so active, chatty and full of people who are here all the time, people get lulled into feeling safe and secure and forget that not everyone out there is as genuine as they appear to be!
