I like to enhance the fun I have by introducing a few toys to play and I have to admit I've built up quite a collection over the years. But my topic for today is the service. I used to be a professional buyer and I expect certain levels of customer service. Any old business can get it right but it's how they sort it when things go wrong that is the mark of a good supplier. I'm just wondering what other peoples experiences are of the service they've had when things go wrong.
What prompted this has been a recent order I had with Bondara ( who had become a shop I liked to deal with online ). 3 weeks ago my order was delivered, and a vibrator didn't work ( unless you count one button that made a recorded voice moan loud enough for the neighbours to hear ). Eventually I got through to customer services to get a replacement item ( not the same one thanks that noisy button was too close to the others for peace of mind ). This Time I wanted a remote egg to play with my subgirl while out and about. Today, finally it arrived and guess what....it doesn't bloody work. The batteries that were in it were dead but even when replaced the thing does nothing grr. Back in the queue for customer services now and not a happy bunny.
I'm wondering if these companies think they can get away with bad service cos most people wont mention that they've been buying sex toys.
Unless the site owners are members here or read the forums. wink lol
I think you're right about them assuming no one will make a fuss due to the nature of the purchases; still unacceptable behaviour, and the management should sort it out. Here in Brighton there are numerous sex/adult shops, I reckon the competition for business is enough to keep them on their toes.. One other thing is that you might care to ask for a discount..I did, asked for a trade discount, the manager asked what trade, and I said "sex trade", he just smiled and said "tell the girl on the till (said his name) says you get 10%off everything you buy! Worth asking, although I'm not a big shopper...but wi' christmas comin' lol
as this clip from a well know film points out

the sex industry is based on very few returns lol
All good points there. My rant to the company must have worked mind cos they sent a replacement no arguments by next day delivery so they redeemed themselves...just.
Always pays to stand your ground.
I think that you have to assume the same customer rights ought to apply regardless of the product, and in fact they do. I haven't purchased toys online but I have had toys that have not worked and I have no qualms whatsoever about returning them, regardless of the reaction. I'm glad you got it sorted, and I hope your sub enjoys the egg. A
I think a certain element of embarrassment may have been true in the past but not so much now, seeing that a lot of these companies encourage customer feedback/aim for repeat custom. I think there is a common issue with products being dropped-shippped, that as you said once things go hay-wire is very hard for the company to untangle the problem. If anything is dodgy specifically in the sex toys market... it is that the lower-end products at least seem to have poor quality control, with things not working or going out of order after little use. Depending on how much you spent on the thing and how much your time is worth to you, I wouldn't be surprised if some would not to bother chasing something like this up smile
