We are new to the Forums. We are Tim and Lene a young married couple from London. Please be kind to us whilst we learn the etiquete of posting on the boards.
Has anyone been to the Night of the Senses, what we think used to be the Sex Maniacs Ball. We are considering going, but as it is quite expensive (£50 a head) we thought we would research a bit to see if its worth it. So, have you been and if so, was it a good experience?

I went last year....it WAS a fantastic time but not worth going alone, you really want to have someone with you to have fun with.
There are quite a few bits and pieces to see....and the Shows are always good fun (although all that poetry was a bit boring)......
I personally wouldn't pay £50 a head (I got my ticket donated) but it IS fun to go there and experience it at least once in a lifetime....

I went to the Night of the Senses last year (thanks to Steveg-nw
)
and for me it was the biggest eye opening event i have ever been to in my life!! I must be completely honest though, it wasn't in my honest opinion a swingers event it is most definately more attractive to those who have a fetish nature, if that makes sense.
I would definately recommend a visit to it if you have a fetish nature.

I have to agree with Helen on this,enjoyable night but not £50 worth.

And the taxi drivers ... maybe their extremely high fares were cos they were saving up to get their licences. We had the misfortune of catching an unlicensed cab back to the hotel so please make sure you are more vigilant than we were.
All that said, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and should I suddenly inherit a reasonable sum of money then I'll go again.

I went last year but to honest, Torture Garden is tons better and cheaper! Yes I agree with a previous comments about it definately being a fetish event and not a swinging event, but still fun.

What kind of things were going on inside? We read about a grope box, and we know that there is a show and the erotic awards at the beginning, but some of the other activities (if thats the right word) were not clearly described on the website.
Oh and regarding the costs are there any millionaires out there who want to go with us!

TG is very open minded and laid back and can be whatever YOU want it to be, to be honest. Yes there are dungeons wth racks, grope boxes, whipping and other 'side shows'. If you want to go and just dance, thats fine, if you want to be dominated, you can do that too, the choice is yours..... :P
I do admit that the website and any press coverage, makes it seem very hard core, but its actually not as bad as the impression. lol
