Hi all
I think I posted here about this a couple of years ago but my Monday limited brain cannot find it using the search facility!!
Anyway, I had a rather heated discussion over the weekend about men using sex toys. The gist of the discussion went as follows:
Me: Have you ever been out with a guy who owned any sex toys?
My (F) friend: Ewww, how gross! I'd never go out with any guy like that.
Me: But you've got at least one. I know 'cos I was with you when you bought it!!
My (F) friend: That's completely different.
Me: How come, to use a pun?
My (F) friend: It just is.
Me: It never "just is".
My (F) friend: Well it is on this occasion!
Me: Ok, so why is it gross for a guy to use one and not for a woman?
My (F) friend: It's just a horrible thought a guy using some sex doll to get off on.
Me: But there are more than just sex dolls for guys. Have a look at any toy website and you'll see the variety available. Anyway, what would you think about a girl using a "male" sex doll?
My (F) friend: There's no such things.
Me: I think you'll find there are. Certainly not as commonly available as the Rabbit series, but they are there if you look for them.
My (F) friend: Not the point, and anyway, I still think it's gross.
And that, in brief, is how it drunkenly started and ended over several glasses of rather good wine smile It brought back a conversation I had in Ann Summers (other sex shops are available) about two years ago with one of the sales assistants. I was looking for a Fleshlight or equivalent (other equivalents are available) but she told me that they were not allowed to sell them, due to some local legislation. How sexist is that?!
Anyway, I was wondering if, in this liberated day and age, other people have any strong views, pro or anti my friend. Or me, for that matter?!?!?! lol

It's all a question of anatomy. A man's own hand can do a passable impression of a woman's vagina wrapped around his cock. A woman's fingers struggle to impersonate a cock in her own cunt, hence the amazing variety of phallic objects available to do the job. I feel sorry for men having only a limited array of toys with which to enhance their sex lives compared to those available to women. I have seen fleshlights on t'interweb but never 'in the flesh' so-to-speak. I can only imagine that they are a great thing to buy if you are unlikely to have access to the real thing for any length of time, but otherwise are just an expensive alternative to your own hand. And fairly messy to clean too rolleyes
It is also a great pity that women have a huge range of sexy underwear to make themselves feel attractive, and for men (and other women) to appreciate. Men are far more restricted in their choices, why is that?
Cleaning is a bit of a pain, I guess, but then, you have to clean a dildo too after each use. A good rinse is all it takes. But, even with a non-plastic evening or afternoon or morning, I always end up having to clean up a real pussy afterwards too! OK, I know which task I'd prefer... but nothing comes free in Life! :-)
It's actually not something I've ever really given much thought.
I know plenty of guys who do have toys, although never met anyone with a fleshlight.
Ann Summers face massive amounts of legislation in order to sell on the 'high street': for example the amount of square footage they can dedicate to sex toys is restricted and people come round and measure up to check they are not exceeding it. I guess they want to maximise their sales per square foot of viable selling space and so they only sell the more popular toys.
Dunno what the answer is - if an answer is required - but I say enjoy your toys if you have them, regardless of gender.

cant see the difference myself, its all a matter of what you like, i personally think things are just more acceptable for women than men, not my opinion but thats just how it is, like bi females, you can go into any club any night and see girl on girl and thats fine but for guys to play with each other you have to go on special nights designed for them! why is that? if its ok to go into a club on a friday night and women to play with each other why not men? i also knew a women thro swinging that wouldnt allow her husband to try another man even tho she was bi herself, i think its just not really acceptable for men to have things up their bum, play with other guys etc, sad really in this day and age and even more so in swinging clubs where people are supposed to be open!!!

I think I agree, if I undertand ya correctly. I'm str8 meself, but am very happy for all peeps to express themselves, whether str8 or bi. Isn't it weird that there are still these social divides in the 00's. Blimey, it's weird that they still exist. Shit, no, it completely unacceptable, isn't it? Gawd, I haven't been to Abs for ages... maybe time I went back, but scared on my own dunno
