logging on this evening i notice that the home page has changed ....it now shows the latest members online, complete with photo.
Meaning that internet users browsing the net can see members pics without even having to even join sh, two of the pics were of people i regularly chat too in the rooms & am pretty sure they would not like their pics to be so publicly displayed.
Is there a way to 'opt' out of this on out accounts.
I've just asked Admin to have a look at this.
I work on the basis that if I put it on here it could feasibly be seen by anybody.
We have it on the aussie, had it that way for a long time. Its the main profile pic, on a persons, profile, if people, want to see the full pic/profile, they would have to join the site. To see them.
They would be all non adult pics they can see.. If there was an adult pic, being used, until they join, it would be blurred out. As well.
Hope that clears some of that up.
Before i logged in i could see adult pics ! Im glad i dont have any pics here anymore !
Sorry not impressed, we don't wish for any of our pics to be seen by non members. We definitely need an opt out tick box somewhere if this is gonna stay, till then all pics have gone private.

You can see the non adult gallery photos before you log in, this to me is just an extention of that.
Thought non-members had always been able to see public gallery pics, or some of them, without ever having to joint SH or log ion, hence why so many of the wiser people have 'hidden' identifiable pics of them selves in private gallary (s)
I can understand why people are not happy about this.
Anyone can zoom into the front page and see reasonably good images. Enough to recognise someone you already know in many cases.
Along with some clever photo processing software it could be quite easy to build up a collection of photos.
And were they ever asked?
Slightly worrying for some.........
lol you dont now admin well enough then hehehehe
For any one who wishes to opt out of being shown on the initial home page, you can change your privacy settings in 'Settings' -> 'Privacy' and tick the option 'Opt-out from showing online on the homepage' followed by clicking 'Save'.
Please note that changing this option may take up to 15 minutes to reflect on the home page.
