Imagine if you saw a group of peopledown the pub laughing and joking, and having a good time, and you wandered over and started trying to make jokey lines and join in.
They'd all look at you a bit strangely...
Well SH isn't nearly that unfriendly, but you have to expect that it will take a bit of time to settle in, and for people to understand where you are coming from.
Personally I'm still in that phase as well, and I hope if I persevere and just carry on being myself I'll end up with 20% of the people here liking me, and 70% of them tolerating me. And if that means that 10% dislike me I'll put up with it, because that's life...
Actually one of the mods does dislike me as well. The difference is, with me it's for good reason!

The best kind of single guy on here (and the one who gets lot of sex! biggrin ) is completely different to a vanilla male who's shagging around. Single guys here are polite, discreet, respectful, interested not only in sex but in friendship as well, and really care about the people they swing with, and making sure everyone is happy and comfortable and has a good time. Women are never left feeling used, or cheap. Everyone knows the score, and everyone goes away happy.
(anyone else feeling a bit like they've been making sweeping generalisations about vanillas tonight? Just so I've said it - I know it's not all of them. I have a specific 'type' in mind, and I know not all non-swingers are like that. /pussyfoot)

If you have got any reason to say that, which I doubt, then I would keep it to yerself. Anybody can put anyone else's nose out of joint on occasions but usually it blows over quick and we all get on with the next little episode - fun innit! Jeez one of me best mates on here and I just had a little gritty exchange - he's still one of the good guys in my book!
By the way folks this man did not say Blue - he said a mod!!

We are a community and a lovely one at that, and, as someone who still considers herself a newbie, I can't imagine a better welcome than the one I've received here. You get out what you put in. And the piss-taking is part of what makes this community so great, as long as no-one has a sense of humour failure.

Nobody is seriously taking the piss out of vanillas (god I hate that expression - what can I use instead?), people are merely having a laugh........... The reality is Swingers if they are in the open SERIOUSLY get the piss ripped out of them and more at times (go check it out for yourself by mentioning swinging in any pub on a friday or saturday night, you will find it's true).
As for newbies, yes they can get a little bit of stick, usually it's gentle though unless they are totally thick and piss people off. This is a fact of life in a lot of net communities. stand your gorund without being rude and you'll find you'll soon become accepted. Don't expect everybody to like you, not everybody will like you in RL either.

I've looked at this and other threads and can't see where you get the idea that anyone is doing anything other than have a laugh, even with you. Some of it might be at your expense but there's an awful lot more pisstaking amongst those of us who have stuck around for longer.
As Angel's already said, I haven't a clue what the a minute thing is, unless you refer to the ads above or have been sent pm/email inviting you to such sites. Quite frankly, if you go there then that's your problem and your pocket that suffers. If you don't then you have nothing to be worrying yourself about, do you?
You've been welcomed, now start enjoying the site - just don't expect everyone to gather round you to make you feel better about something you're making an issue of.

Well there are different type of Vanillas out there....some are better than others...the eskimos have many words for snow so perhaps its the same with vanilla...... sometimes the rest of the meal is ok but you don't get your just deserts when you need them....every so often I need and appreciate a real women who knows how to really enjoy sex .. it' s different if you are single instead of living with a vanilla partner....

Well I can remember being at primary school, and doing some painting at a table covered in newspaper. The newspaper was the "News of the World" and there was a story about foursomes (MMMF or FFFM) and I remember thinking "that sounds like fun!".
