In the midst of another boring Bank Holiday, I decided today to shave my balls for the very first time. A very pleasurable experience, but as I first timer I was wondering if you guys (or girls) can help me out with a few things? How frequently should I shave them? Is there any creams or moisteurisers you would recommend to stop the chaffing? Any help would be appreciated!! biggrin
I read a book when I'm bored - less likely to cut myself lol

Yes Lee, a lot of the guys on here, myself included, use peanut butter (smooth)as an after shave balm, it is more acidic than the usual creams and lotions which assists the oils in the butter which are rich in vitamin B and anti Bolloxins to penetrate through the hair folicles by opening them up, thereby soothing the skin immediately around each folicle and preventing a rash from forming, something that standard over the counter creams often fail to do. The product is cheap and only needs to be left on for around 15 minutes to allow it time to work ,after which you can shower it off as the oils will have had time to penetrate The method of application is simple, just rub some on. You only need to apply a small amount and rub it into the shaven area. Allow it to work for about 15 mins and then just shower off.
P.S. if you've got a dog keep it shut in the kitchen .

sound advice davej, i've found that most nut oils seem to do the trick !
Its wonderful advice . I myself have never shaved that area due to the absence of a suitable astringent . The peanut butter sounds ideal . I wonder though since Silky is Canadian , would it be alright to add some strawberry jam as she doesnt really like the peanut butter without the jello ( I am vasectomised so naturally I would use seedless jam).

Is this a wind up? Ive got a tub each of Nutella & Marmite in front of me and I am in the process of deciding which one to slap on. C'mon guys, reassure me Im doing the right thing? My balls have taken enough of a pasting today as it is!
Hmmmmm - I have to say I am always a little confused by all the male shaving threads.
I had not tried it and read them and thought - god that has got to be awkward, uncomfortable and not worth it at all.
However a few months ago I decided to give it a go - Hot bath, razor and 10 minutes - smooth - no problem.
No chafing, no soreness. I can't recomend any moisturisers or balms as I don't use any. I do usually use the king of shaves shaving oil, but even that is optional as just water seems fine.
And as for it growing back, well I only shave when I'm going out or when I think about it and I can't say it is uncomfortable at all in between times.
Roger the Dragon cool
P.S. - I will say though if you shave your chest try not to cut your nipple as it bleeds for ages! lol

Would that be toothpaste or wallpaper paste? Hope it had fungicide in if it was wallpaper paste smile
Lee I can assure you it's not a wind up and the only reason for freckledbirds rolling smilies is because she well remembers the tale of the first time I used it after having it reccomended to me on here. We failed to ensure that the dog was secured in the kitchen and all hell broke loose. Dachhunds are short in the leg, but can jump surprisingly high when there's a need and I had a hell of a job getting away from the beast.
So was the vinegar and brown paper tip true as well then Dave ??

OK then, Nutella it is. Starting to itch a little so I might just slap some on right now! Havent got the burden of any having to lock any animals away you'll be pleased to hear. Please excuse me while I get my hands dirty biggrin
Swinging Heavens, Lee!!!
You're going on the advice of a few men who have allegedly 'tried' nut spread/oils??????
At least Google it and get some unbiased advice from the WWW. They might be setting you up for a terribly painful experience  Are you allergic to nuts at all? Have you taken the time to do a patch test and leave it for 24 hours before going ahead with the treatment they've described? I think not - you silly, silly man.
Being Canadian why not try >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Maple Leaf Syrup. ??
Just a thought and its sweeter than Peanut butter

In all honesty I wouldn't. I've no experiance of the product, but I have read the contents on a tub that we have in the kitchen. Nutella contains heavy concentrates of cocoa which is a bean and not a nut. The purpose of useing the peanut butter was to take advantage of the bolloxins and vitamin B that are heavily present in nuts. Beans contain traces of twatazins which are drying compounds (try and eat a spoonfull of cocoa powder straight from the jar better still try and eat it with a dry cream cracker) the complete opposite of what you want. Honestly Lee your better off with a nut enhanced butter product so please wait until you can get some tomorrow. If you can't then perhaps some utterly butterly or some such butter based product will do as a stand by.
Don't cocoa beans contain fat/oil? Maybe chocolate spread would be another alternative?
Oh god, he's been gone for ages - do you think he's OK? He might be having an allergic reaction to the nut oil as we speak - his balls could be swollen to the size of footballs

In their natural state .....yes they do freckledbird, however the products that make their way into our cupboards are heavily processed and those natural oils are either lost, or enhanced with manufactured synthetic oils. Chocolate spread is a good example of a product that has had most of it's natural oils replaced during it's processing to be replaced by synthetics, thats why it makes a good hair gel in the short term, but in the long term causes drying of the scalp and in severe cases permanant hair loss.

I once shaved off all my body hair............never again!

You never warned me about the hair loss when you recommended it for hair gel. I was putting the hair loss down to the menopause!
i asked tony if i could shave him he said
no way
nobody is going to use abic on my tackle hehe

If you had gone for the Brazillian like most ladies these days, you wouldn't have had so much hair there that it needed gel in the first place.
