SHFC V Friends Reunited FC

We have received a challenge from those Drips at Friends Reunited!! They reckon that their football team could "Kick our Swinging Butts" in a Football Match :shock: :shock: :shock:
Not being able to turn down a challenge I have told them that just because they have United in their name, they will be no match for the grit and determination, not to mention staying power of Swinging Heaven FC !! cool

Feeling pleased with myself, I sat back and thought about the fantastic football team we have here, and then it hit me ............................................. we don't have one!!!

well i assume it goes without saying that dawn mids and ian mids will be midfielders!
i would also like to nominate the_tongue as a striker.. as EVERYONE knows that tongues make dribbling easier! lol

I can be in goal.
My credentials are as follows.
1. Excelent at at stopping threads
2. Excelent at stopping people laugh when I tell a joke.
3. Excelent at stopping traffic when knocked off my bike.
So stopping a ball should a breeze.

Thankyou for your vote of confidence in my sporting prowess Misschief.....so it would seem that me and agricola are relegated to working the burger van at pitchside then.....well thats fine by me....didn't want to play anyway.
Despite this setback, there are no sour grapes on my part and I would like still like to be associated with a winning team, so if the selectors could just scan back to the chinese meal thread and view that, it might offer them some clues as to who might not be too good in defence, just in case the ball, like the thread, sails a bit higher than head height!
davej makes a mental note to add additional Tabasco sauce to the burgers of certain people.

oh right then? football is it. i'm ace at football me. well i do come from leeds so what you expect?
so, can i be a forward then? getting good at the whole forward thing these days. not so good on the actual scoring though, which might be a little problem! maybe an other forward can help me out there tho eh?

Well - I wanted to play but do not know the names of any of the positions :shock: I googles and found that there seems to be some offensive positions (think that might be the wrong type of football) if so I'd like to be in an offensive position. Failing that I'll play with Sarge at the back confused

I suspect you are going to need Tall and Hairy for medical aid. Not for the players but incase the cheer leader gets black eyes!
