How do the various types of shrep work? Do you ask for it (how), or do the requests get automatically generated?
Ta! :-)
Once turned on you will see a number appear next to shrep uner 'my account' on the sidebar when you have rep to leave / approve
Meet Rep can be left after creating a meeting with a member, site rep can be provided after sending two or more messages, to leave a member a vouch you need to become friends first.
Hope this helps ;)
Darth,
Check your :: Inbox, you should have a copy of our Shrep user guide, which Admin have a copy of.
I'm sorry but there must be an easier way of doing things. Whoever came up with the Shrep idea must be a dab hand at deciphering codes and that sort of thing. I can't make head nor tail of it.
some of my friends have left nice comments on my shrep, they're kindly souls, but don't ask me how they did it...it remains a mystery to me.
I like the idea of Shrep, a validation system is a good thing. Will probably like it more when I have something to shrep about lol

Agreed, but it would help if he enabled it in his Shrep settings first. ;)

Just my opinion but I think SHREP would be much more credible if Site rep was removed. I dont actually see the need or point in site rep dunno Having the three Vouch, meet and site is like a cross between a worth while verification and a thumbs up on a facebook page.

Totally agree!
We had some really rude messages off a couple the other day. A couple with no photo's or info on their profile wanted to arrange a meet. I sent a message back asking for photo's and some information about what they were looking for. They gave me no info and said they could send photo's by mobile phone. When we said that we don't give out our numbers until we know we are interested in a meet and would prefer to swap pictures on here, the reply was a whole load of abuse, calling us timewasters!
This particular couple already have one negative site rep and I was tempted to add to it but I know that they would have done the same back even though we had done nothing wrong!
I think that if the site rep stays then there should be a way to show a response and explanation to negative shreps. There are two sides to every story!

Have to agree with this. We have had much the same thing.
If you leave negative feedback then odds are you'll get it right back?
Of course the other issue is what someone considers negatives is not necessarily so like for example a polite 'no thanks'!! So shrep leaves you open to negative feed back for a polite no thanks?
This has led to us being reluctant to reply if we know there's no interest which is not ideal either...

I have thought of that too... better still do away with the negative marking and the star system altogether (stars are broken anyway!). I still see use in having different types of feedback, but I feel there is a massive gap in chatroom contact feedback - some people never message so even though they should have had a generous amount of site rep they don't. At the same time, vouches are used for everything and anything, even between absolute strangers, which again is a little counter-productive. There is a little trend of people by-passing the whole system by leaving feedback-style comments on people's profiles - sometimes I wonder if free-form feedback exchanges between consenting users would have been enough.
