Now and then, we get newbie asking for advice on meet and one of the usual recommendations they get is for them to attend a Munch. Would this be a problem for some of you out there?
For me personally, I’d be more worried sick of meeting someone I know from the workplace or neighborhood etc. I wonder if this has happened to anybody as with the case of the major regional Munch expected to have up to 300 people attending.
I’ve actually met a staff from my workplace in my partner’s ‘grandish’ party held outside our region…crikey. Obviously I was very happy to see this person and we chatted merrily but at a Munch, Jesus what would you say?

You're as likely to meet someone you know from RL at a munch as you are at a swinging club... however you're all at a swingers meet so who cares. No-one is gonna say anything about it afterwards cos you were all there for the same reason... social drinks and curious about swinging...
Problem solved!

This topic was actually one of the ones that caused the missus the most concern. If we actually manage to talk on here enough to get an invite to the scottish munch (can it really be only a month away? I remember thinking; ach, we've got months to get known....oh dear!), the missus is dreadfully worried that we'll turn up and her uncle will be at the bar, or a cousin etc. Workmates she couldn't care about (she'd probably just 'arrange' for some fun with them....) but if a family member was there, she'd probably be a bit mortified. Hopefully that won't happen, since there's like 3 million people in Scotland. What's the chance of one of the 30 or so family members she has being into swinging!

That's pretty much what i told her lucy. She's still a wee bit paranoid, but I guess that's women for ya )
If we do come to the next munch (or the one after if we're too late..) i think we'd probably do as Steph said and ask someone to come meet us, so we're not going in to a totally blank room. That's always a scary thing to do.....

If you are apprehensive on the night pm one of the regulars that appear on the list or the organiser and they will see if they can get someone to meet you outside and come in with you. I did this in Notts for one of the newer couples and made two smashing mates meeting them.
Most of all relax and enjoy the night.
