In the light of various IT security breaches in a number of organisation's, how safe is user's personal data on this site.
Could someone from IT possibly answer this.

The DPA doesn't stop hackers though.
I don't think the site itself is extremely secure - not running under SSL/HTTPS - but as was said above, it wouldn't cause a great problem if my email address got out.
As for subscribing to the additional services, I believe the site uses reputable and secure third party providers, so I suspect your credit card details are probably as safe as they are anywhere in cyberspace.

Any data held on any electronic device can be accessed with the right software. Don't think it's not possible, it is.
But who is going to trawl through millions of accounts on the chance of finding something really juicy? Forget about it.
Investigating user accounts is done when people commit themselves to doing something illegal by joining an illegal website. This is how offenders are being caught.
You don't need to worry that someone is going to take over your life and destroy you, just because you've joined SH.

I may have to consider a name change as I know a few people who'd recognise it......... seemed a good idea at the time.
Im having this prob at the mo, my x's mrs did a search with another name i use n came up with loads of adult sites i used to be on,inc this (my x single profile) and is giving me loads of abbuse because of the sites im using!! apparently shes seen all the naughty pics as well, so i spent most of wednesday deleting old profiles or pics if im still using certain sites! bitch aint got anything else to do
:x xj Hi, well i dont want to worry anyone but ,its not just just google,use any search engine msn, ,ask there are hundreds out there, just type in search engines in google and it gives you lists,of whats out there and youd be surprised with what you can find they nearly all have different info on if you have something to hide beware!!!

Well before the current owners took over..
Site owners want search engines to put their site at the top of their lists so obviously search engines are going to pick up some of the content as well...
Its the same with some other (non adult) forums I use as well so its not specific to sites like this...

Didnt wanna start a thread but thought this was best place to post thing, about the big scandel about the child benefit disk fook-up. This morning i received a letter of them to say
then goes on to say what the data included and what to do if any problems etc etc
Did everyone receive this letter or just those who were on the disk???
