Today in a chatroom this was posted by a someone..
'Please don't try to poach other chatroom users to join you on another site. This also applies to asking people to join you on a messenger service i.e. MSN or to have a private chat or webcam session, you can invite and open a private room for that in the video chatroom.'
Granted I know about the extras bit, etc but not allowing people to say they use another site or inviting to join them on msm private chat is surely taking the piss?
Granted people who come on to promote there own commercial sites isn't cricket but the above statement stinks imho.

How does it affect you confused

You can still PM msn addys so what differance does it make if you can or can't publicise your addy. dunno

I cant see why you take offence at this to be honest...
Here we have a perfectly good chat system with the ability to cam with other users as well...
Why would you wish to go to another form of chat when all that you require is here :dunno:
If you wish a little privacy simply open a passworded room and its as private as you want..

Can you imagine 70 in a room all putting their email addresses across the chatrooms :eeek:
You'd never be able to have a conversation rolleyes

Putting your email adress in a public room is also going to open yourself up to people sending or signing you up for junk :roll:
Its not just to keep you in the Swinging Heaven chatrooms, its to ease the smoothness of the conversation and protect the chatters from junk a little biggrin

We used to op in a chat room a few years back, and another reason the "no email addresses" rule is used is to stop malicious public posting of a third parties email address... and yes... there are people about who would do that if it wasn't stamped on pronto

As long as it's legal between consenting adults and that no children are present. Pretty much anything goes!! lol

if we could use the cam and type without a 5 minute delay before the typing appears..we`d say its perfectly good.....
as it is we`re on dial up and things run better on messenger
but if we`re chatting in the chatroom...people ask us to go to msn ....9/10 we say sorry we`re talking to everyone in here and they leave u alone sometimes.... biggrin
