Admin didn't you learn anything when the site was taken over and all the headaches we gave you then?
Whilst I agree the extras package is a good idea, it does seem ill thought out, and isn't actually working in your favour. Wouldn't market research have been a prudent idea, find out what we want and then add it. Surely that's maximising your revenue, you get less headaches and we're all a lot happier?
Understandably you need to raise income and there are people including regular who will happily pay for useful additions, but why offend a large market of your potential income by treating them like idiots. Surely it's obvious to anyone that one liners and taking away the consent is going to alienate people?
I really feel like we'd come forward two spaces lately, all the fusses had died down the site was running better, the chatroom is excellent compared to the first effort! And now we've stepped back a space. dunno

How about asking people what they want? Trialling new ideas with a small group of people and getting feedback?

Im sorry, but why would you want or need more than 12 pics on? Before the make over back in December you could only put around 3 on your advert, so you are getting the option of having 9 more than you used to have plus you now have a 'profile' page.

No one is asking or expecting you to pay for anything, you are getting MORE than you had before the site was changed last year and yes we all complained like mad last year when the changes took place, we pulled Admin to pieces about the changes they made that we didnt want, we said the chat room was 'shite' etc etc etc but things have quietened down, we have now got used to the changes and most of us now agree that the changes are actually bloody good

I am not speaking as a mod now, I am speaking as someone who has loved this place since I found it back in August 2004. We hated it when we had the changes last year and a few times I nearly threw the towel in and jumped ship, but gradually over time, I have become so used to changes, they are now the 'norm'. I hated the fact that I was getting loads of unwanted pm's from people who had obviously not read anything about me, but just thought sod it, I will send a message, they might say yes! As time as gone by and the newness of the toys has worn off a little, the number of unwanted messages has decreased. Ok they still come, but not in the same numbers as they did at the outset. The winks are a bit of a nightmare at the moment, but before long, the newness will wear off and people will start to use them a little more sensibly.
Personally I am sitting on the fence with the new changes, I really like some of them, and Im hanging fire and seeing how things go with the rest of them.
I just wish some people would actually think about the changes, the reason for the changes and give things time to settle before they start quoting hell and damnation! Give it time!

Personally I like the new layout and stuff but you have to admit there a couple of things that are a serious bone of contention with a lot of members...those being the stealth cams and winks. I'm not sure either will work to anyone's advantage other than the chatroom pervs and people who can't be arsed to write a decent messsge ( or read one for that matter rolleyes

)
In the meantime, I will refrain from camming in the chatrooms and have blocked all males, except those on my friends list. Mind you, the way things are going this morning I'll be blocking couples too banghead

It's the default ones that people send out when they can't be arsed to write a proper message that have been getting people's backs up. Exactly, its not the featuer that is the problem! We all complained about the number of pm's we got from the members new to the forums, but no one said stop pm's!

We are looking at changes to give members options on their account with regard to how winks are dealt with. Martin has posted a response to the Stealth issue in the other thread.

what you need to remember, if the FREE members all left, your added extras would be worthless because there would be nothing to use them on.

They contributed to making the site worth buying in the first place.
So to say they dont have a say is just complete and utter shite..
When the free period ends they may well wish to pay so they should have some input as to what features you receive when you pay..

We lowly free members are what make this site what it is Susie. We always have, and always will be the backbone and foundations of this site, and IMO just because you've been daft enough to pay to make your profile all pink and girly and view people's cams in stealth mode - and expect us to like it - does not entitle you to more of a say than anyone else. Being a 'premium member' aint gonna get you any further in terms of meets and swinging, and at the rate your going, it aint buying you any friends either.
As an aside, you're outdoing Tramper with the trolling skills. Congrats.

This is one change I actually don't have much of a problem with. smile

This is getting silly.
Yes you have paid. Well done, I hope this makes you happy.
I don't think any one is trying to say that you don't deserve extra's for your money, you do or why would you have paid?
The problem is that some of those extra's affect us poor lowly free members, we are not stomping on your rights we are standing up for ours, the ones that were in place before this whole things started.
I hope this makes sense, now can we please move on?

Correct me if I'm wrong here - and feel free to give me some evidence ........ as I've read it & understood it, there isnt a major issue with the Extra's package. The issue is the stealth mode cam viewing (which goes against the very ethos of consent & respect which underpins swinging - and therefore against this site because it is (was) a Swingers site. ) The other issue is the winks facility - which as you rightly say, can be edited by paying members into a message of their choice. Problem is its not being used by 'premium members', its being used by the quick shag brigade and filling our pm boxes full of crap. I'm sure that given a couple of weeks, this will calm down.
My problem and issue is this sudden rising of the attitude that because you've paid for it, it makes you 'special'. It makes you more 'important' than the rest of us.
I agree you have paid for a 'service' and expect to get what you've paid for - however, dont for one minute think that it automatically puts you higher up than anyone else - and that to me is certainly the way you are coming across right now. I dont care who gets Admin's attention first and all that, you've paid for it, you go for it....... but to expect that Â£25 quid entitles you to this holier than thou attitude is a big mistake.
