Has anyone noticed a big difference visiting clubs since the ban and has it made numbers drop?
I noticed a sign in Partners a few weeks ago stating they would strictly enforce the ban - the sign read 'would you rather have a shag or a fag?'
I wonder if all clubs are complying with the law, as I guess smoking wardens are unlikely to visit clubs. Are we going to see groups of people shivering in towels standing outside club doors having a ciggie!
doncaster club as a garden so not to bad there
Strange really that these clubs ban smoking
when generally the activities they make there living off ie brothel during day, living off immoral earning etc etc dont seem to bother them !
Yet smoking is a no no !!
I have noticed a big diffarence in chams since the ban, the first monday night after the ban the bar area was dead all night even the staff commented on how quiet it was downstairs, they have a roof garden for smokers but it rained all night that monday and people wasnt hanging about they was out quick fag and back in, the biggest differance i noticed was how many more people was in the play room as noone was hanging about the bar or out in the rain, i think clubs that have no smoking areas at all will feel the diffarence cause not many people will go to clubs and stay there all night without a fag but clubs such as chams where they do have a smoking area i think the the ban seems to be making more people spend less socializing over a fag in the bar area and more time actually in the play rooms :rascal:
I imagine that swingers clubs are well known to the council and police and likely to be the target of regular enquiries. If they were used as brothels during the day they would be shut down quick smart. I doubt any swing club would risk that.
I don't have ny personal knowledge, but it seems logical.
I'm not a smoker but the ban is good for me for another reason than clean air. If it's less easy to smoke, people don't light up as often. So there is less chance of getting into a clinch with a guy who has not long put a fag out.
But the clean air does make a HUGE difference for me.
Seeing as i used to spend 90% of my time in the bar chatting, drinking and yes smoking, maybe the ban will do my sex life some good!!
Suze xx
As a non smoker I think it is great. My hair and clothes still smell fresh the next day. I am a contact lens wearer so being in a smokey atmosphere plays havoc with my eyes.
