We had snow for about 20mins at 5am yesterday morning(enough to halt the traffic as per normal here!), I love watching snow from a warm snuggly room.

I looked out of the window, as the snow fell everything turned white. A car pulled into the car park. There was no one due in at this time of the morning. I looked down, he was passed through security. I went back to work. By the time I looked back out the window the scene had changed. The car park was peppered with brown salt, the snow was melting in tight little circles around them. There was a sign up at security. When I looked back as I left it read
SNOW!!
DANGER OF SLIPPING!
Heath and safety had spoiled even that small pleasure. He had driven in along snow covered roads to salt the car park. The security man was told he did not have a certificate to spread the salt.

Just an update for you all. The snow was melting away last night and was expecting to get up this morning to find it all gone.
Nope, we've had a fresh covering of the white stuff and another couple of inches here to play with again and it's still coming hard and fast!!

Well still snowing here very slushy when i walked up to the shops to buy supplies shame i dont have kids would have loved a snowball fight sorry Big Kid here

its definately snowing here now - has been since lunchtime, roads are trecherous as its slushy and wet then freezing , but not settling as thick snow :sad: , if you see what I mean :lol2:

Been snowing heavily here all afternoon and its still coming down now. Daughter has just called to say the town centre has closed early, all the buses are cancelled, i cant get thru to my other half so im hoping he gets home alright... bit worried about going to manchester tomorrow now...
