If not the main bulk of your journey will be on motor-ways and as such should be OK anyway...

Oh yeah, thats a good point! redface lol
I'm not even the one driving!! Me and our travelling buddy will probably be too busy yakking to notice a snow storm! As long as Lairdy (our chauffeur for the weekend cool )keeps his eyes on the road we should be fine.

We had some snow this morning but its all gone now.
Does anyone think we're going to get a really bad winter ever again? Kids today are growing up not knowing what snow is really about biggrin
Global warming? No! I think it all started when we bought a sledge for our son.....too many years ago to mention lol Dont think hes used it more than three times and hes now, after growing up, well past sledging ahh well
We just get a quick down fall and then slurry!
Mr & Mrs goodtimez
Started snowing here (Sth Wales) about 1am this morning, carried on quite heavy till about 11am.
Starting to melt now, but as its quite thick will prob be here for a while.

*How do I post a pic on here for you all to see?*

It has been snowing lightly all day here.... There is more than it looks on the photo :lol2:
It's still trying to snow here, but most of this mornings effort melted hours ago
M62/M1 around Leeds is clear as a bell
Well !! I bloody not impressed
Its suposed to be the worst snow all winter....its suposedto be here for days....even the borough council has been round filling the grit bins  - credit to em mind, they actually gritted my road last night for the first time in 6 years
I've spent the morning making stew and dumplings and homemade broths for Mr Dark's work flask AND had big plans for this afternoon evil I was in 24 hour supermarket buying hats and gloves last night at stupid o'clock, and feel a right tit for doing this thread redface Its not exactly the worst snow we've ever seen is it? Severe weather warning my arse!
No-one's yet said their power is out etc...so, was it all made out to be alot worse than it is? or have the amenities companies etc finally come up with a weather contingency plan that works? dunno
Does anyone think we're going to get a really bad winter ever again? Kids today are growing up not knowing what snow is really about

I think we will - but this isnt it lol ....and you're right about children - I let my daughter watch the news reports etc and got her all excited about how we might get snowed in like Mommy did many moons ago ..she's going to look at me like some kind of complete fool later and i know exactly what's coming: "Mum, is this it????, but you said...." ..:scared:
At least it will up her awareness of the impact of global warming - but the weather will still catch us off guard and they (in the future) won't know what the bloody hells hit them.
We had 3-4cm here when we got up. Schools still open, but our elder kids couldn't get there. Because the only way in & out is a steep hill we do get stuck really easily. Worse when it's icy though- drivind down the steep hill with a pond on one side & a drop into a field on the other :scared:
I love really crisp, deep white snow:inlove:. It's a shame we have to go away to find it though.

I have just taken another picture of my car which hasn't moved since last night. I got the tape measure out and it said it was 2 1/2" deep on the roof biggrin

We have quick big flakes of snow coming down and it is quick thick but it doesn't show on the pictures sad
Mrs Kiss and I have just been for a walk and I took a few snaps of the pretty snow along the way. biggrin
