My fave artiste and one of my fave songs, that one.
That Godawful "Get here if you can" one from the 1st Gulf War. Barf.
"I've Never Been To Me" By some bloody terrible woma, called Charlenen. Double barf.
"The greatest Love of all" By Whitney. triple barf.
Oh, I could go on for ever.
well, Civil War by Guns N Roses always spoke to me because of the connection there, but Bob Seagers We've Got Tonight I really like
good call mate theres some clasics when you think about it, not like some of the junk that the young'uns of today turn out....god how old do i sound
Wild Is The Wind - David Bowie
For me it has to be My Immortal - evanescence, her voice is amazing & the words have a deep meaning.
Other than that it's Nillson - without you, Bon Jovi - Always, Led Zep - Stairway to heaven, Black Sabbath - Changes, Simply Red - Brand new
Sorry getting carried away confused
Feeder Comfort in Sound about the drummer who killed himself is moving,as are other songs that wouldnt spring to most peoples minds.
Radioheads Pyramid Song has really moving music and there are so many more that are close to me.
I tend not to be affected by the songs but more byt he singers....And am a sucker for a strong female voice with a bit of Grrrr in it...
Have been listening to to Christina Aguilara - Stripped album...didnt used to rate her thought she was just another warbbling bint.......now ..I have concluded she has probably got the best female voice around at the moment.... If you havent heard the album...try it biggrin
a song that really moves me is
Find Me by David gates - the words are awesome!
But one that got to me big time was "In the Living years" by Mke and the Mechanics
(came out at the time my Dad died!)
See, I totally misunderstood the point of this one, didn't I? I have told you all the ones I hate. Hmm. Soft songs that I like? That's a toughie.
Got one! It's... no.. it's gone.
Tuesday's Gone - Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Also, Simple Man, by Lynyrd Skynyrd too - Was one of my favourites anyway, but I was listening to it just before my Mum passed away a couple of years ago, and it chokes me now, it's a lovely piece of advice from a Mum to her son......
Rick.
gotta be bridge over troubled water by simon and garfuncul or everybody hurts by rem i do have a soft spot for bright eyes too by mr garfuncul as it was my dads favourite song at the time he died
Not for any particular reason but
Wicked Gameby Chris Issac.
The words have no particular meaning, I just find the song haunting. Anything by Evanescence
Also A Soft Place to Fallby Allison Moorer.
Iris by the Goo Goo Dollsand last but no means least Darren Hayes, Insatiable.
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley
A beautiful version of a Leonard Cohen song
Lucky by Radiohead which was written and recorded in one day for the HELP album.
Something Changed by Pulp,so appropriate as its pretty much about the way me and Steve got together
It Must Be Love by Madness as it was our Wedding Song :inlove:
Bring it on by Gomez as i spent my first pregnancy listening to it,then it helped get our eldest to sleep after she was born.
Yellow By Coldplay as it was so appropriate when i was pregnant with our youngest.
They all have great and personal meanings, ahhhhh biggrin
Stevie Wonder : Never dreamed you'd leave in summer.
its a golden oldie...hold me now..by the thompson twins
that song is a classic for tears.....
