I know I'm a neebie to these boards, but I thought I would ask some advice.
I have been on various swinging sites (uk lifestyles, AFF and others) for well over 5 years now. I'm a nice genuine guy, not bad looking, friendly and non push. Whenever I reply to ads anywhere, I always write a nice long response, never one-liners and I'm always prepared to be patient.
So why have I never had any luck actually meeting people and getting involved?
I know there are a lot of single guys out there, and the women and couples have loads to choose from, but it does get a bit disheartening.
What else should I do to make myself more popular?
5 years? Wow, you don't get dishearted easy, do you? (I gave up after 14 months of nobody writing back, FWIW, so I take my hat off to you.)
Best advice I can give is to hang around in the forum and chat to people publically. I have a strong suspicion that most women/couples don't even read what you mail them, whilst in the forum you can communicate with lots of people all at once. Plus, it's fun!

I will probably say the same as most will on here.
Take the time to get yourself known in the forum.
I think you will find quite a few single males have found more success this way than in the ads. In the ads you have to come across as pretty spectacular to be notices as, asasingle male you are one of thousands on the ad system.
Don't expect immediate results.
You can expect friendship - anything else ia a bonus!
So relax and join in the threads in the cafe!

I think it's a little luck and a little patience (You've been bloody patient I'll give you that!).
I joined recently, but lucked out in a massive way... I did write a previous post about my experience so I won't repeat it.
I concur with Fruity... if this is what you want to do, then never EVER give up.
I think you'd be surprised how many people in the 'real world' are curious about all this but never mention it. Since 'coming out' and telling my friends (both male and female) I've been surprised at the amount of them that have said they want to try it (I've been even more surprised by who has said it!) :shock:
So maybe if you can drop some subtle hints to your friends and see if any bite...
Anyway... not really helping you I know... but these are nice, genuine people (but all nuttier than a Sunpat Factory Warehouse) or so I've found... so go with the flow on the forums and see what comes up.
