Just been watching an episode of this on tele with my 2 kids...
A boy of 9 and a girl of 7
Cant believe they found it hilarious confused
I would have thought this old kind of comedy was way beyond the young uns today..
Just goes to show how wrong you can be sometimes...
What other old comedy programmes still make you or your kids laff :?:
Yeh...........
I still find them very funny...
What about Clarence.....The poor sited removal man played by Ronnie Barker..
I thought that was hillarious lol
Hey, I remember that. lol Now why don't they repeat that, instead of constantly pounding The Good Life into the ground?
Oooooh Betty! Remember when it seemed that most impressionists did a Frank Spencer?
I like watching the re-runs of Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads, Are You Being Served, Up Pompei, Monty Python's Flying Circus and Bottom. I am sure there are others I can't think of at the moment.
Ever Decreasing Circles, Allo Allo, As Time Goes By... I wish they'd repeat Duty Free too at some point. And what about A Bit Of A Do, the David Jason comedy that everyone seems to have forgotten?
My girls, 7 & 9, also find Fank Spencer hilarious.
I think this just shows how infantile the humour is and how easily we were all pleased in the 70's.
Having said that you can't beat the Carry Ons. I think I was 25 and working in London before I realised what a Khyber Pass was!!!!! redface
i found some old videos, Doctor at Sea, Doctor in the House etc.....the 9 year old thought they were hilarious....made for a cheap and cheerful couple of evenings.....despite, (or because of...) the innuendo, i thought they were much more suitable than half of the playstation games he wanted for his birthday!! we all had a laugh watching them... biggrin
Laurel and Hardy re runs during the summer holidays had our kids 8+6 rolling about!
Bless this house and Rising Damp are two more I've thought of
Reginald Perrin! Classic show and just as socially relevent today.
And what was the one about the two antique dealers with shops next to each other... one of them was played by the guy from It Ain't Half Hot Mum? I remember that one making me laugh too.
My two year old loves Keeping Up Appearances  . He loves it when Mrs Bucket is on the telephone and says, "The Buckaaaaaay residence, the lady of the house speaking", and his fave episode is when she gets out of the car into a large puddle and her feet get wet. He's always been a strange child    wink
lol
I know it,s still fairly new but 'only fools and horses' still makes me laugh , even from the days when grandad was in it. rotflmao
Also the young ones still as well lol
Open all hours

Never the Twain

That was it; I remember the two mugs in the title sequence.
And what about the one with the redheaded woman with the unusual name? Had "Ain't Misbehavin" as the title music but I don't think that was the name of the show... was it Up The Garden Path? Or something like that?
