You got your results already?!
Due to a high family incidence of breast and other cancers, my sisters and I have to get a scan done every year and we still have to wait 3 weeks each time
We don't all use the same hospital and I thought the time to wait for results was pretty much standard across the NHS. Seems not. Maybe it's a case of the postcode lottery on the NHS again :?

Than kyou steph I will be doing the checks when I can. Dawn i got the results the same day and it was the city hospital on dudley road. I am so relieved that it was not cancer and I am glad about that. All that worry for nothing.
It was very nerve wrecking I could not sleep the night before I kept thinking the worst.

but i just want to say that that's fantasic new's.
i sort of know what you where probily going through as my wife(Chrissy)
went through the same thing about 8years ago
and when she got her results back and we found out that the lump that she had found
was none canceris it was like a masive waight had been lifted off of our shoulders.

I am very pleased and my parents where very worried about me. I phoned then straight away.
when I first got there the doctors saw me and had a feel for the lump he then arranged for me to have an ultrasound scan and I watched to see if anything would show up but it never. Then I went back to the waiting room and saw another doctors They said you are pleased to hear that it is not cancer or anything it is a fat tissue and to keep doing the checks which I will be doing.
Then she said I am discharing you. I got out and i just was overwhelmed that is was not cancer.
I hope all you women will do regular checks and men you have to check yourself to.

yeah i had this fear not long ago too.....was very scary
but not breast, was my testicle
found a lump, shook me up, as was quite large and painful by that point, eventually went to docs.
was gone after 2 weeks on anti biotics
now check myself regularily, never did before. :
