Sweet Jesus can't believe i didn't mention these two:
Michael Jackson/Jackson 5 - "Ben" - what a lovely lovely song. Anyone who's ever had a dog should like this song.
And ultimately....
Damien Rice - "Cannonball" - wow... absolutely wow. This man is so underrated its ridiculous!
easy - sean connery reading 'in my life' on the george martin album of the same name
only song that gives me goosebumps - and the beatles original doesnt either, its something about connery - he reads it like its shakespear biggrin

Teenage Kicks The Undertones
Another Coke Alternative TV
Warsaw David Bowie
just thought of another one.............
Frankie Goes To Hollywood: The Power Of Love
Ok well along with my original suggestion of Creep - Radiohead, I have some others:
The Living Years - Mike and the Mechanics
Queen - Who wants to live for ever
Creed - With arms wide open
JJ72 - October Swimmer
Snow Patrol - How to be Dead
Fleetwood Mac - Gypsy
Thats enough from me....The list could go on and on and on and on........

You are taking the piss!!!
As i opened the post i just remembered JJ72 and started to dload "Oxygen", "October Swimmer" and "Snow" - the coincidental value of that is just mind-boggling! I haven't even heard tell of JJ72 for 5 years!!!

Two hands of a prayer - Ben Harper
Sure there must be others but that sprang to mind first

I love JJ72! - I often listen to them in the car. I love all their songs but October Swimmer is the chilling one for me.
Everyone I know can't stand them....so I turn the volume up that little bit higher!
brige over troubled waters simon and garfunkel
who wants to live forever or these are the days of our life queen
if leaving me is easy phil collins
when i see you again fleetwood mac
theres loads more but those are the ones that come to mind at the mo biggrin
Amazing band - so underrated its silly.
"Oxygen" gets me. Perfect imagery in the words and a mastery of chords.
A bit chilling in light of recent events - a bit prophetic.
"Airports and Undergrounds - Waiting To Find The Unfound - Rising To Pure Insanity"
"How soon is now?"-The Smiths
Unfinished sympathy-Massive Attack
Fade to Grey-Visage
"Are friends electric?"-Gary Numan worship
When doves cry-Prince(specially the intro!!)
There are two types of shiver you can get from a song: one of joy and one of pain.
In the joy category, the two I can think of have already been mentioned
Teenage Kicks by The Undertones
Nothing Compares 2 u - the Sinead O'Connor version
I'd nominate the next two for shivers of a different kind:
Suffer Little Children by The Smiths - a ballad in memory of those who were murder by Brady and Hindley
Diane by Huske Du by mainly the cover version by Therapy? - The first line of the song is Hey little girl, wanna go for a ride. I'll leave you to imagine what happens by the end but it's not nice.
over the rainbow by eva cassidy sends shivers down my spine
wow what a voice
oh and throw these guns away in memory of the children of the dunblane massacre sung by children from the school
Genesis.... Follow You Follow Me
Clannad.... Theme from Harrys' Game...
Cranberries.... Hollywood
Sugarbabes... Too Lost In You
Coldplay Fix it
Anything from Madame Butterfly...
Les Miserables.... Bring Him Home... (I think thats what its called)
Green Day .... When September Ends.....
The theme from Harrys' Game is guaranteed to make me cry..... as does the Green Day song.... very very apt..... good lyrics.... breaks my heart....
