As a response to Darkfires 'Feelgood' thread request,
Post the songs you play to lift, cheer up or just when you feel good!
Mine to start,
'The Right Stuff Overture' From the movie of the same name.
'Give Me Some Lovin' by Thunder (Great track to get you bopping)
biggrin
You're My Best Friend - Queen biggrin
Ahhh there are lots as music has a big effect on me.
One that springs to mind was last night, when my media player randomly selected I'm Every Woman by Chaka Khan and Mrs Kiss and I start singing in unison whilst bouncing on the bed. redface :lol2:
Just listening to a new Half Man Half Biscuit CD 'Trouble over in Bridgewater' in the car laughed out loud at three tracks. Listened to The Ballad of Climie Fisher twice and loved the umper Lumper song.
Not very spiritual but I'm still smiling
OOOh now I've listed my fave feelgood songs before and to be honest they havn't changed, but there is one addition as I had clean forgot about it untill I heard it on the radio the other night.
Now it's not really a text book feel good song but when I heard it for the first time in years t'other night I was singing from start to finish and nearly rang up Radio 2 to beg em to play it again lol
Anyhoo it is Scott Walker's (of walker brothers fame) brilliant translation of Jacques Brel's Jackie confused (it was origionally in french)
Find it listen to it and smile biggrin
oh sod it here is a (not very good quality) link to a live performance

loads and loads and loads of tunes that have a pic-me-up factor for me, but one that instantly springs to mind is Sandstorm by Darude.
no matter what mood i'm in this always pumps me up to the limit

Yes!
I can't help myself but sing along to that... the only problem being I try to sing all the parts and is just sounds like a mess. :lol2:
never mind Choon.... I feel good too... (at least Iiiii think so!)
as for uplifting stuff... don't have any faves as such, but when I hear something unexpectedly, or a forgotten tune comes out of the collection, no matter the lyrics, if the feel is right, I'm *solid gone* for a few minutes at least....
as for some of those forgotten tunes, several mentioned here already...
I tend to join threads like this without putting forward my own suggestions, but blurting out: "oh yeah...that one!" etc etc
B52's... memories... Planet Claire and all that, the whole albumn was fantastic, must get it .... again!!!!!!
and of course the Cure, fantastic band, very much a feel all of their own, and able to produce brilliant pop as well....
Subaculcha; pixies

Mad Bob is looking a little more *comfortable*, shall we say...
