Don't you mean Simon & Garfunkel?
Loathe the Simon and Garfunkel version, love the version by Aretha tho!

It's good to see Barber's Adagio being so popular. It's my favourite piece of work and I've already said I want it playing me out.
REM's Everybody Hurts is a bit of a weepy for me too. I've always liked the song but a friend dedicated to me on the radio just after my Dad passed away and it's been special to me ever since. Lovely sentiment in that song

Okay - I'm going to show my inner American redneck here:
"Go Rest High On That Mountain" by Vince Gill. This was played at my grandmother & step-father's funerals. It makes me cry everytime I hear it....
"I know your life on earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain
Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son
Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered round your grave to grieve
Wish I could see the angels' faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son.
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son."
