Spam for contacts sites?

I've today, at the email address I use for SH, received two emails from people I supposedly emailed in response to their ads on SH, but who don't ring a bell with me. Here's one, stripped of the sender's name:

Hello,
You recently replied to my advert. This is just to let you know that i'm no longer replying to ads from the site because I was receiving 100's everyday and too much for me to handle. I bet most ladies have
the same problem. You maybe interested in this, because I did a search and came up with a top list for contact sites. I have joined 3 now and at last
i'm getting quality replies and meeting others.

I got a similar, but differently-worded message, soon after that one from someone else also pushing a site on I have sent a small number of replies to photo ads recently, but I'm fairly sure that I didn't send them to the people who've spammed me, unless they changed their handles.
Has anyone else had similar mails after replying to ads? Is something the site admins should worry their pretty little heads about, do folk think?

There are hundreds of these knocking about. It is just Spam to get you onto their Pay Site!! mad
