well i am being dragged along to a speed dating event tonight and i must say i am nervous...
is there anything i should know before i look like a startled bunny caught in the headlights....

make sure you have brushed your teeth well, washed under your arms and other bits in case you "get lucky", spray deoderant to make you smell all scrummy dumtious and edible.............

Never did the speed dating thing, so wouldnt know what to say. All I can say is, be genuine, if there is anything less of a turn on is a know it all dummy. Try and make them laugh, and be honest.

A guy I used to know, went to one of these speed dating thingys.
At the end when they do the counting he did not get one point for him.
All the girls he met seemed to dislike him in every way.
Poor sod.
Still thats life hope you fair somewhat better.

right.... i 'spose i'd better tell you all about my night....
well i got there at about expecting to see loads of people.... i was 3rd person there.... lol by there were 40 boys and girls there...... biggrin

you all know i am a shy retiring flower and i think that i coped with it well.... there were 2 where the 3 minutes felt like a lifetime.. and one woman was damnright scary....
but other than that... 17 enjoyable dates... i even made one or two laugh... and one pandered to my ego for 3 minutes smile

afterwards some of us stayed a drink..... and i swopped numbers with one really nice lady...

Soon, I'd say. Particularly if you're thinking about continuing to swing. If you're going to stop swinging I would tell her if it looks like becoming serious, it's part of your past after all. Nothing to be ashamed of, so why shouldn't she know. Anyway, she might want to try it herself wink

I agree. Don't swing and date at the same time - but you can always have time off from one or 'fess up. I don't think you need to tell her straight off though - find out if she turns up for drinks first unless you would only consider a partner who swings, in which case you might as well raise it quite soon!
(We wait with baited breath for the reaction).
P.S. If you do start dating we hope you're still coming to the Munch! You'll just have to be 'good'!
