The thing about 'being invited'
no-one was invited to the civil ceremony. Or in straight language 'wedding' . Not a member of either of the family's or any of our friends.
At the venue called 'the Loft' in Newcastle we invited people to an engagement party.
As they were arriving they were 'treated' to photo's playing on three screens of us over the last three years... getting a sense of our relationship etc etc blah blah.
Then, once we were drunk and 'everyone' had arrived. We put on our 'wedding video'. There was a mexican wave of realisation. Then the questions started 'did you know? ' did you know?' once people had registered that no-one had known. Indeed it was clear from the video that no-one was there either.
We had our ceremony on the 3rd of November and our 'holiday' from the 4th until the 11th was our Honeymoon and then the 13th was actually our reception.... but people had been invited months before to our 'engagement' party.
(It was so secret, that one of my best friends who lives with us didn't know!)
thankyou Fire and Stormy for being there and also the others who are still 'partying' and yet to add to the thread. I am sorry that the other couple who were invited were unable to attend.
Most of our family and friends laughed heartily when our 'first dance' song came on for us to dance to. 'Womaniser' Britney Spears......
Thankyou all for your best wishes.
Worlass and I are nursing bruised feet.... we partied until 4am in proper girly shoes.
Some of you may see 'us' on various facebooks... and will agree that worlass looked gorgeous and our dresses were beautiful.
