This is good news for your whole family Clare. Most of us do worry about work and the prospect of losing our employment can put a real strain on things so I hope that this news has eased that burden.
I have faced the prospect of redundancy twice over the years and have been very fortunate to have missed it. I remember that I went through three stages whilst under the threat of redundancy the first being panic, what was I going to do, how were we going to get through. The second was a realisation that thousands had already faced this dilema and moved on and that everyone else managed without the company that I was associated with so I could as well. The third was perhaps the strangest as I just wanted it to happen and I started looking forward to it, as it would probably open up new oppurtunities and force me to move on.
I have also been in the position of making people redundant and I can tell you that for me, there is no worse task to do, far worse than having to give a dismissal.
