still getting diverted to paysites

two times today, and no idea which were the original ads I replied to that forwarded me to paysites (so can't alert the moderators) but it keeps happening (one was Harrieta and I didn't reply to an ad going by that name for example) - any others having same experience? so many short ads on the woman seeking men SH lately, all looking very similar 'this sounds like a cool site', 'this sounds like exactly what i'm looking for' etc.
come to think of it does any genuine guy who comes to the cafe have *several* successful meets on the free ads (I've had 1 in two years)?
no chance of knowing if it's a genuine female or a devious paysite operator trying to lure us to their site.
the replyer states they get 100s of timewasters, picture collectors, morons etc, from SH so they search for a paysite that guys pay for and then get genuine replies, etc.
personally though, I have had replies, some obviously genuine people uncertain of meeting, but most one liners obviously not seriously in it.
thanks anyway for SH efforts at keeping it going, it is appreciated and this is in no way a dig at you cool

ps and *please* don't ask me to forward the person who put the ad up and sent me to a paysite as I've no idea who it is; they are hiding their identity well, and have probably gone away anyway. It's a scam that I guess is part and parcel of a free ads site and we genuine guys will just have to live with it.

Perhaps you could be recording which ads you respond to and then, when you get this sewage stuff, sending in the ad numbers so we can look.
A free site is a threat to a paysite. Us Mods spend about 75% of our time here deleting and banning the spammers and the scammers. Romanian woman wanting British husbands, Asian babes wanting anal sex but only if you pay to view their pic, some tart in Peterborough trying like a mad thing to get her ad on this site for longer than 15 minutes and the old favourite - webcam shows for a telephone top up card.

This rarely happens but the 00:55 entry (26/05) ad number 294026 from Cowley (Oxon), there are 13 ads above this all entered/updated within 15 mins of each other, all quite short ads, though from different places, and all on 'women seeking men', which is highly suspicious - have i uncovered the scam ads here?

Except that I have tried a few swinging paysites and I also receives mail there redirecting me to another paysite because she just knows the people there are genuine, the kids can't go in and she's got her pics and phone ' there...
How can she know that the people there are any more genuine that on the site she originally contacted me? How can she be sure kids can't go there as they could easily get their hands on their parent's credit card and go on the site before it is discovered...
That's why I like SH. There is a vibrant community on the boards and it is often funny so even though I haven't met anyone from here yet (either at a meet or at a munch) I have had more fun not meeting them here than not meeting other women on other sites so so far SH is my favourite site.

Not quite on the subject - but in moderating the adverts, we do ban probably as many as 50 accounts a day. These are probably about 50/50 between people who are just not using the adverts properly, and those who are trying to use it to make money. With a small spattering of real sickoes.
It is surprising the number that e-mail in saying 'I've been using your site for a few years now, and I have had numerous successful meets arranged on here, please can you re-activate my account'
So yes, there are many people (including single blokes) who say they have had several successful meets through the free adverts.
And many people who say they have had nothing but bad experiences through the adverts!
Perhaps there is a pattern there. Many who are unlucky through the adverts wander into the fora to try something different, while those that are lucky stick with what they see as a winning formula.
Keeping your e-mail address anonymous is a good deterrant, it means that the pay-sites cannot log on as a user and harvest your e-mail manually. You will only get e-mails from people you reply to, or from e-mail addresses registered on the site. Either way, there is a higher chance that we can trace the pay site on the system and ban the user name.

Feel sorry for the mods i report about 10 a week ,so i can only guesshow many hundreds you have to get rid of

on the hidden email adr thing, I have it on because I know that it makes me more likely to reply to an add cos it's a bit of a ball ache to copy the email address and paste it inot a new mail on and then post it off, than to just use the web interface.
I haven't had any luck from the adverts though. sad

For the guys not having much sucess - my fuckbuddy posted an ad in women-seeking-men yesterday and received over 500 replies in the five hours or so she left it visible.
That may give you some idea of the ratio of men-to-women posting on the site. Not that I would say 'give up', but bear it in mind.
Couples seeking couples are MUCH more evenly balanced, but it means having a girlfriend in the first place chaps!
And out of interest .. does anyone actually know who the mad tart in Peterborough really was? Does she actually exist and did anyone get a reply from her? I saw the ads and wondered what the hell it was all about ...

Just to add some more light on this situation - this bloke has been banned from the photo ads system for over a year now for posting his weblink which talks about pay for sexual services. The same weblink was removed from his profile signature. This morning I found an ad from a woman(!) linking to his website again with the same references to pay for sexual services.
In PM he tells me this isn't the case but.....I read the site this morning and know it to be true!
