Definately get rid of it.
I don't put pics on here for a reason, however I am prepared to cam as at least I can see who is looking. It begs the question why do people want to look in secret, I can't think of an answer which would mean we still want them here!
I was concerned when I saw it pop up on myscreen tonight and relieved that I don't seem to be the only one.
Big brother can always see whats going on, but if they want to spend that much time and effort in doing so then let them, it's there waste, but making it this simple for anyone is wrong.
I think the rest of the changes are great (so far) although I do seem to have dropped out twice as much as normal tonight, but that could be my end!

What's the stealth feature???
The Steath feature is part of the new extra package. It allows you to view cams with out triggering the little eye icon over your name when you are watching someone. So you can watch who you want without them knowing.... good for stalkers - bad for honesty.

Stealth depends on who and for what reason. If a web cam is put in your home without you knowing, thats stealth, but if you broadcast , then thats about as stealthy as having sex in the high street on Saturday afternoon! Can't see what all the fuss is about, people were happy enough to cam on the open net , but at least here you have to be a member and so abide by the rules and be accountable and reasonably traceable !

I think its better to have a poll so we can see what the silent minorty think, but I'm sure the CaM Stealth Feature is unpopular in the majority. I would like to illustrate this, what better way than with a graph?

I am sorry but there are some people I object to watching me.... Steve also gets a little apprehensive when there are bimales watching him on cam.... It's about what we are comfortable with....
As far as I am concerned if the stealth thing stays then our cams get packed back in their boxes and returned to where they came from...

But you are only polling forum members...
...that aside and regardless of whether I agree or disagree - my point is under other circumstances this thread would have been locked as just a repeat of other threads (but with a poll).
I dont mind if the guys look, but while the're watching its only gonna be PG rated...if I dont know if they're looking or not, its gonna have to stay PG rated. It just means I'll have to find people I can trust and put them on my messenger list, spending less and probably eventually no time here.

I hate to agree with peanut (for some reason) but the nut has a point - once you put your cam on in an open room you may as well assume EVERYONE is watching (little eye symbol or not). You know who is in the room, you can still turn off if you're not happy with who is in the room.
Whilst I cannot see the advantage of stealth for anyone (as their presence in the room is still there) and agree peolpe who choose to use it are in some way creepy...
Once your cam is on and some members are there who you do not personally know through meeting them - then at that point you have no real idea of who is watching you anyway - they are just usernames. Even with a little eye symbol - you have no idea who of the watchers is recording your cam (yes that can be done) and then showing it elsewhere.
So I find both sides of the debate strange
