We all have stresses in our lives, some people and sometimes more than others. With lots of redundancies, financial worries and now tax rises, things are just going to become more stressful for us all. We're not just talking money worries though, as we all know that there is more to life than money. Children, work .... blah blah ....
We had quite a stressful year last year. We did have our moments, but on the whole I think we coped quite well. I do believe that our son having a severe learning disability helps us to cope with stressful situations as we have to deal with such situations all of the time.
I think that when we are going through a difficult time, we play more. I also find that when things get really busy or stressful at work we look for more meets. Maybe it's an escape from 'real life' maybe it's to vent our frustrations? dunno
Don't get me wrong, there is more to our lives than finding and fucking random strangers. I find that when I paint, I feel much better afterwards and Mr Fun generally gets his guitar out and that seems to do the trick too. Sometimes a bath or a long walk with the dog is enough.
So when things are getting a bit much, what do you do?
we go looking for MONSTERs under the bed
and if we get really lucky we find one!!
Having what most people would describe as a high-pressure job, along with the normal home/life pressures. I find that chatting on here for 5-10 minutes usually grounds my feet and returns me to 'normal'. Also reading some of the forum threads brings a sense of perspective (there's always someone with a worse case of stress).
Failing that, it's out in the kitchen and cooking that de-stresses me, or half an hour in the jacuzzi and I'm back to my mellow self. lol
A very long bath certainly helps me. I also like to bake cakes dunno

Don't warn him FFS!
If he can't find his wallet when I want it, you will be in big trouble :kick:
I, (the mr) have quite a stressful job like a lot of people these days, and my peaceful haven is my garden shed. I don't spend hours in there (especially not at the moment because one of the cats has decided it makes a perfect toilet) but just a short while sanding something, or fixing something minor. Todays therapeutic task was to mend a bath-plug chain. It took me 30 mins and I could buy one for a quid, but that wasn't the point.
I love my little husband-hut lol
Havin' a wank usually does the trick.....by the time I've cleaned up the mess I've forgotten what I was stressed about.
And remember..."you die if you worry....and you die if you don't...so why worry?"

I found a rather large heart attack back in November relieved my stress not sure if it was the lying down for 4 days or the copious amounts of morphine they pumped into me lol
Ironing - simples!
Eating, end of, which isnt necessarily good for the equation of meeting pmsl as does help if I can get my ass through a standard door casing lol
when i get stressed i usualy have some chocolate and a brew.(usualy works)
Xbox live, kill varying amounts of loud Americans fun fun fun.
As part of my job I deal with helping people with stress management! There's a number of ways to deal with stress, and it's about finding out what works for you! Exercise, socialising, relaxation!!! I think we all get better with dealing with stress when we tackle it! Avoidance is no good! Personally I'll spend time with my family, and a good hard fuck with my partner always releases some of those built up tensions!!!!
A nice hot bath, a good book and a glass of wine or spending time with my friends usually does it for me.
We're having lots of stressful times recently and spending time with our friends is what's getting us through it.
If anything, i'd say we meet/think about meeting less when we're stressed.
*Her*
10 miles carrying 20kg gets rid of the stress.
Upping the volume to 11 with some decent pre 80's Rock music and doing something with herbs and laying back adopting a "fuck it all" attitude works for me.
i do have a lot of stress (at work and home) and havnt really found any way of relaxing and forgetting it which makes for a hard life at times sad
i have tried various ways but none work !
I use lots of different things to de-stress. These range from going for a long walk to punch and killing hell out of bags to just kicking back and relaxing in a hot bubble bath with a load of candles and closing my eyes.
If all this fails... I have in the past...stood and screamed at the top of my voice while stamping my feet like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum :giggle::giggle:
Stress relief for me is sitting down with a glass of wine, music on quietly and giving someone’s feet a good rub with hand cream.
