Hey all, this is a plea.
It's an entertainment show, isn't it right to back dear John Sergeant? worship He's the reason I'm watching it.
Or should it be taken seriously?
well now andrew castle is out john must win for pure entertainment value hes great
I watched it once and I couldn't see any element of BDSM in it. rolleyes
What the hell is it all about and why should it be so bloody news worthy i really don't know lol I think its just entertainment, the contentions that arise are designed into the program then exploited when the need arises. It's all fix after fix after fix and whilst the British public soak it up and keep paying to see this sh*te it ain't going to change much.
I love watching Strictly, makes a change from programmes about sport, war, cookery, gardening, DIY etc etc etc. biggrin :D
i hate these programmes.
I dont care what anyone thinks these programmes are fixed.
You only have to look at the complaints about x factor or whatever its called when the public see that the wrong person gets kicked off.
I say kick them all off! We need a military Coo with propaganda broadcasts from a mad despot 3 times a day.
Watch it or be taken away! mad
I only watch it for the sexy outfits. lol
oh the outfits are gorgeous ............... i want 1
I blame Markz rolleyes

Some of the things in 'em were quite tasty too. I even started to fancy Cherie Lunghi at one point. I got over that but Christine Bleakely sillyhwoar: - fine pair of shoulders that girl.
Does anybody agree that it is more difficult for the men - 'cos they've got to lead haven't they? I would've thought that is more of a challenge. dunno
.
I agree Choony, and yet they do surprisingly well don't they?
I love, love, love it.
I used to have the hugest crush on Mark Ramprakash back in the day and then when he was on Strictly I was soooooo chuffed - clearly I have taste! wink

Choon starts eyeing up his tuxedo and patent leather shoes but then opts fer his plunge neckline latin American spandex thingy. :scared:
I haven't actually seen any of them because I mustered out my TV ten years ago ... and no regrets. biggrin
In regards men doing well, you will find that men are going to try harder. Reason for this is most likely in the approach of how these people are being taught. Men won't be told 'just move sexily to cover it up' and things like that. The girls, however, will get that advice if they struggle with the moves. As a natural consequence, girls will often subconsciously change a gear back, slowing themselves down. rolleyes A shame really ...
I love it and John Sargent is brilliant - its not a professional dance show - some are brilliant but Andrew Castle waiving his arms and John's smug smile and lack of rythm is pure comedy at its best. I hope he stays in a while longer.
Oh and yes I think its likely that Markz is John's son. They have the same double chins lol
if saturday evenings come down to a contest between strictly and x-factor....... then strictly is winning every single time for me!!!
but the same is true for both... they may be light entertainment, but in the end they are Ballroom dancing and Singing contests, regardless of the novelty acts.....
don't get me wrong.. i have liked john.... but for him to stay any longer when the really good dancers are left would be unfair....
John Sargeant is brill, fab, fantastic, wonderful and a sh1te dancer! :giggle:
I hope he wins!!! :rude:

well said that mega intelligent brainboxy type with spectacular taste!
Sorry but I think it is getting a bit embarrassing that John Sergeant is still getting through.
Thought it was a blast to start with but there are some quite good dancers not getting through because of him.
Having said that I'm delighted that the smug Cherie Lunghi didn't get through this week.
Charisma Rules!!!!!
.
Ooooh, it was a good week this week!
And yes, I'm not sad to see Cherie go.
Best show on telly!!
We love John.
We are now going to learn to dance seeing John dance, my hubby realises anyone can do it, including him!

charisma rules exactly! That's why sergeant is still there. It's about time those idiotic judges realised it's not just about dancing.

so what do you all make of this then???
will they bring cherie back?
It is a big shame he is going
