My current ISP (183k or Mailbox Internet - formerly EFH) is in dispute with Tiscali and as such Tiscali have highjacked me as an interim arrangement. Anyone else experiencing or experienced a similar problem. Does anyone have any recommendations for an ISP or any avoid like the plague.
Your help and advise would be much appreciated.
never ever even in your most desperate hour consider BT I did and have been sorry ever since
I am with Sky, reasonable price, stable, and no bandwidth limits.
Can't fault it.
I am delighted with Virgin.
You could take a gander at this site:
Virgin for cable and Be or o2 for adsl
we are post office n all great so far n good deal on phone too
I'm with Orange - mainly cos it is unlimited (son plays online games) and is cheap. Actually mainly for it being cheap. But I'll be looking for even cheaper once son leaves for uni. I won't need unlimited downloads.
I heard Virgin were rubbish, but that was about 2 years ago - sounds like they have got their act together.
What about joint deals? Broadband, TV and phone? Is there a 'best of the bundles'?
must admit..I am with BT..and have not had a minutes problem..and every year I re-new a 12 month contract they seem to knock me a couple of quid off the price. Does me nicely.

I've been with Plusnet for over a year and have found them fine with no problems, so I'd recommend them.
Am with BT for business and Tesco for home, both have been no problems but limited speed from tesco due to location which would be the same with any isp
Weve been on the internet since Pcs were gas powered and the one thing we have learned is never ask peoples opinion on ISPs lol . You will always find as many bad experiences as good for all of them. Best to ask local people to you as they will have had the same phone lines, similar bandwidth restrictions and available packages etc.
Good luck
Many thanks for all your advise. I have chosen to go with firenet an offshoot of my previous supplier, but it has given me food for thought for the future.
Once again thanks for all your responses
