I dont believe in future prediction.
I do believe in ghosts.
Anybody else got any beliefs that haven't been proved by modern science.
I can produce ectoplasm
I've seen and experienced things which no one can explain other than them being of paranormal activity. I often 'feel' a presence in my home as does my son but it doesn't scare me. I've also seen 'someone' in a patient home one night which, when I later looked at some photos, bore a remarkable resemblance to the man's late wife.
I was driving home one night and just about to go through a set of lights on green at a crossroads when I heard a voice from behind me tell me to stop. I did. That's when a car sped through the lights ( on red at their side ) which would have hit my side of the car had I carried on.
My dead relatives live with me so I dare say I believe in something. Wish they'd take a share in the housework though. lol
Science is based on superstition, isn't it? biggrin
Dunno blue I suppose before we defined scientific reasoning all beliefs were supernatural.

Ah, but what is scientific reasoning based on? wink
Wiki it blue
I've always been interested in such things but I think I'm becoming more sceptical as I go along - I've more faith in the existence of extraterrestrial life than in ghosts/spirits. I certainly don't believe any of the nonsense that goes on in those 'Most Haunted' type shows ...

You. Have. Dead. Rellies. Living. In. Your. House? And you only see fit to tell us this now? confused :scared:
Anyways, this is a cut'n'paste of a very old post of mine. You can tell it's an old post because of the shocking grammar and lack of capitalisation and stuff, but if you're sitting comfortably, i'll begin . . . .
once upon a time, in a suburb/village just south of leeds, there lived a little boy, and like lots of little boys, he had an imaginary friend. now it was quite a nice imaginary friend, who used to keep the little boy entertained for hours on end doing silly things like tipple-overs and stuff on the bedroom floor. but eventually the little boy grew too old for imaginary friends, and maybe the imaginary friend had other playmates, but they saw less of each other anyways.
now one day, around the same time, a new family moved in next door, and they too had a little boy, a bit younger than the first, but for some reason they never played together, cos the new boy was a bit solitary, and big kids hate playing with little kids eh? one day, the lady next door came for a cup of tea, quite concerned about her son's newfound imaginary friend, who did entertaining things like tipple overs on his bedroom floor. needless to say, there was a touch of concern at this point about such a strange coincidence.
now it just so happened, that one day, both mummies of both little boys found their sons in some distress, cos their imaginary friend had visited them both in their bedrooms, and told them it was time for him to go, cos he'd only really been waiting for his mum all this time, and they wouldn't see him again. a couple of days later, it was discovered that a previous tenant next door had been a little old lady, who's son had died in that house, and she'd been living in a nursing home for some time. on the day the imaginary friend said his goodbyes, she'd passed away.
the imaginary friend was never seen again . . . .
true story.

Bejesus man, that is some hair standing on ends on my arms kind of craziness!!
Now this thread is something I'm quite into, don't really know why I'm into the paranormal and things, but maybe it has something to do with the fact that when I was a child we lived in a house which overlooked a very large victorian and pre victorian graveyard!
Us local kids used to play in it all the time and obviously the topic of ghost would always come up.
Now in all my time playing there I never actually saw a ghost but did feel and see some strange things!
One thing is for sure though, now I definately believe in the existence of the paranormal, having had some very strange experiences over the past few years.
I go out what you might call ghost hunting I suppose, well not like the ghost busters, but to places that are supposed to be haunted, mainly on a night and kind of see what happens.
But one post on here did ring a very large bell, the one about hearing someone say stop as the poster (varca i think it was), was about to go through some traffic lights!
I was laid in the bath once a few years back and had been working very, very long hours and subsequently fell asleep in the bath, I awoke to hear my name being screamed by a loud male voice and I dived out of the bath grabbed a towel and sprinted down the stairs immediately realising I was alone!
I went back up the stairs maybe 2 minutes later with much trepidation, to find the water absolutely freezing and no one in the house! The skeptics amongst us may say it was that I had fallen asleep and been so for ages, so the bath water had gotten cold, but it was only 20 minutes since the bath was run and I have really hot baths! surprised
This is one of the incidents that stands out for me and I'm really interested reading some of the other posts on here, thanks guys! biggrin
When our eldest was younger we lived in newish flat, by newish I mean it was probably 20-30 years old so deffinatly not what I would call old.
Mini Lyns was about 2 when we moved in and was a very early talker. You could have a conversation with her.
I would quite often hear her talking to herself in her bedroom and laughing away. I didn't think much of it as all little ones talk to themselves. She then started talking about the funny man who would play with her in her bedroom and talk to her making her laugh. When I asked her about the funny man she told me he had died in a fire because he had got burned.... We have since moved from there and she no longer speakes of him!!.
Something very strange is happening in here this evening. Last posts are being added further up the list and photos have disappeared
The first one to start head-spinning and projectile vomiting gets a slap!
ghosts are just like us operating in a differant dimension, if you manipulate the pineal gland through magnatism you yourself would experiance seeing other dimensions. only use the posative side of a magnet tho as the negative side increasses the risk of brain cancer.
DMT floods the brain on the time of death, which activates the pineal gland...which in turn allows your spirit, essence, concousness or what ever you call it to go to the next dimension.
google..... youtube... pineal gland.. truth about religeon....red pill videos....
spreed the truth.....
hitlers back......... no to the EU.....

Yup Woodz, you'll fit in nicely lol
I once sat with a man as he died, he was not someone I knew. I was looking into his eyes at the time of death. I felt pulled away as if he were trying to hold on to something.
Call it supernatural, or prof of an afterlife if you wish. I do not know, but I did feel that tug.
Everything else I have been able to explain in other terms. That incident, I still do not know.

I've been with more dying patients than I care to count and this has happened to me a few times. Only last weekend the lady I was nursing looked straight at me and smiled minutes before taking her last breath. When she smiled, all the anguish and fear left her face and she looked very peaceful. Had she had a glimpse of a better world than this one? Who knows? I'd like to think so but if it was enough to make her last moments peaceful and serene that's enough for me
Don't know what you folks think, but for me this thread should come with a "do not read on your own after midnight" warning. Gave me the willys.
I've seen enough strange stuff to not doubt anyone.
A lots of my friends and I used to perform tarot readings for one another and other people. One mate was very good; she predicted relationships, jobs, illnesses and a single death. It was about that time that we all gave up. Who wants to tell someone that?
Astrology I think can work. I once had a 24hr forecast horoscope drawn for me by a gent who really knew his stuff. The predictions made came to pass, but what impressed me was the fact that these things happened at the exact times that I'd been told they would.
Now a days I don't know what I believe, but I'm sure something is going on. confused
Boo!

I can relate to some of the stories.
When my grandma died, we had a pact for her to communicate to me about the 'after-life'. She did, so I believe it exists. The dog kept well out of her bedroom; he'd stand at the door with his hairs raised and growl. Her bell would ring startling us all. That bell could not be rang by a gust of wind (not that there would be a gast of wind in a closed room). Her spirit rested after a few days, though. It's hard to leave the mortal world - you always want to make sure your loved ones will be alright before you move on to the next phase of existence.
I have often had prophetic dreams like another member here and also wrote down the details and discussed it with friends/family. I dreamt of things before they happened and just before they actually happened my breathing would arrest and I'd say 'I know what comes next!' and sure enough, it would happen as I had predicted it would.
Yesterday I got dumped but it was no surprise as I knew it was going to happen. He was rather taken aback. It's my sixth sense - the ability to pick up vibes and interpret them.
Sadly, I do not make good use of my premonitions. It's all these red flags being raised that I tend to ignore. I suppose I ignore them because I yearn to live free and not in fear. Sometimes it is better to do something and fail than to do nothing and wonder about it.
